Vikings S3

Evidently he wasn't.

Evil Queen Slutbunny: :techman:

Siggy takes a dip in the frozen fjord of freakiness:

So what's with the "wanderer" dude anyway? Is he supposed to be Odin?

Don't go back to Kattegat, guys...you've got a nice little orgy going in England.

Siggy, Noooo! Ragnar and Ecbert are an awesome pair and Linus Roache and Travis Fimmel play off each other brilliantly.

Siggy! I LIKED Siggy! :(

If the Wanderer had been Odin, he'd have had an eye patch (I'd assume).

Damn, I loved Siggy. I've been a fan of Jessalyn Gilsig since Boston Public and she's been a large reason why I've loved the show so much. :(

Odin doesn't have to have an eye-missing. Maybe this is pre-wisdom Odin. *shrug*

The main problem is that there's no way for the two armies to reinforce each other. Not the smartest choice, but certainly one that has its share of historical precedents. Perhaps the Mercians assumed that any force sent against them would try to split an attack rather than putting themselves between two forces on opposing flanks.

Is that actually the strategy they used? If so, they deserved to be beaten.

It's the Red Hour!

(Anyone reading this post 40 minutes from now may not get this.)

Or hacked up or poisoned...those work too.

I like Ecbert. Obviously, he'd have everyone killed if it suited his plans, but he's got a certain style.
Yeah, I'm sure they're setting things up so that he'll eventually be Ragnar's opponent...but if so, I may have to root for Ecbert!

It was a very underwhelming way for her to go, especially as she hardly seemed to be in the season already. Hopefully it will be played up for its repercussions on other characters...like Rollo, who may think its the gods' retribution for his baptism...(and maybe it is...).

If he doesn't come up with that angle himself, I'm sure Floki will be quick to volunteer it. He used to be such a fun character, now he's Debbie Downer...everything's our gods vs. their god, our gods vs. their god....C'mon, Floki, can't we just enjoy a little pillaging and screwing some Brits?

Well, saving childrens' lives isn't a bad way to go.
Who was the woman she hallucinated? Frigg?

I thought it was Freya, but according to the A.V. Club reviewer, it was her daughter (although I don't remember her having blonde hair) who died of the plague.

Of course, we're looking at Mr. Wonderful the Wanderer from a Nordic perspective. If we were to look at him from a Christian perspective...
could he be...
I don't know...
possibly...

SATAN!?!

Oh, right! *headsmack*

Honestly, I didn't recognize her either. The show may have overestimated how recognizable she was.
