They may not go with this part but, when he got sick of her, he told her to go attack the Avengers. When she did so, they promptly beat the crap out of her.

I meant their own shows. I don't see why they would pull something they made themselves, but I've learned not to assume anything when it comes to this kind of stuff.

    thanks guys.
That's a bit dark esp for marvel.. to have a beautiful woman heroine beaten so badly but it might make her an interesting character

And after that, finally free from Kilgrave's control, she just sort of... broke. She fell into a catatonic shock so deep they needed to recruit Jean Grey to bring her out of it.

    This is cool...

Although, as Christopher pointed out, that part of town isn't actually near Hell's Kitchen.

At least, not on the poster. That was probably done for visual effect, and I doubt it reflects the geography of the actual show.

She's not a heroine, as far as I know. I'm pretty sure she's just the love interest, and from what I know about the comics she goes to some pretty dark places.

Jessica Jones is not "just the love interest" in her own series. She's a former superhero who gave up her costume after her torments by the Purple Man and became a private detective (albeit with superstrength). Luke Cage appears in the series as her love interest.

Yeah, I'm not sure what you were thinking of, but it's not correct.

True. I could just as easily be Krysten going to visit a friend at her Brownstone on a chilly day.
Since it's a solitary scene though kind of makes you wonder what is being filmed in that moment. Unless it's between takes and she is actually just walking around waiting for the next take to occur!

Sorry, I got mixed up. For some reason I thought he was talking about Karen Page, not Jessica Jones.

I could see it either way, I never thought Absorbing Man was too young in his appearances in the books, and although the actor wasn't very old looking, a person that absorbs the aspects of substances may not age as a normal person would, or appear to.

Why else use that name if it's not supposed to be the same character? Of course it's entirely possible we never see the actual fight so he may not even appear at all.

I'm not too encouraged to see that he previously worked on Almost Human, a show I didn't care for. But then, AH seemed to be a pastiche of '80s action movies, and Luke Cage was originally rooted in '70s blaxploitation tropes, so maybe it'll work out.

Even though all the Netflix shows are connected, I guess it would be kind of nice if they each had a different feel to them. No need for it to feel like they're 52 episodes of the same series. It would be nice to see a different style for each.

I wonder if the Defenders team-up show will have one of the other 4 people in charge, or if they'll bring in a new showrunner for that one too.

Cheo Hodari Coker appears to have a history of shows that are street-level and urban which seems to be potentially good for a character like Luke Cage.

'Almost Human' wasn't a bad show, it just took a little too long to kick into gear for today's market.
