You know, this makes me wonder--if they had a holodeck, would Travis be the crewmember with the rich and vibrant holo-life?Travis spends much of his downtime writing Trip/T'Pol fanfiction.

In Singularity, they're all obsessing over what they are currently doing, like trip for example does over the captain's chair and Phlox obsession is analyzing Travis brain, so at some point he's planning on extracting part of it until T'pol neck pinches him.Oddly, no.
You mean Travis would look like Troi in Genesis?Oh yes. It would have been interesting if Phlox had actually gone through with it. Certainly would have been a darker series if Travis had suffered permanent brain damage by Phlox's malpractice!
We get hints that Phlox is interested in unorthodox medical procedures, so it might have been interesting if Travis had volunteered (perhaps inadvertantly) to be his guinea pig. I can imagine Reed running a betting pool on what bizarre deformity Travis will turn up with today.
Phlox: I'm afraid your helmsman will be unfit for duty until further notice, Captain.
Archer: [serious] What's wrong with him, doctor? Is it Rigelian fever, the Klingon prickle-rash, Andorian herpes?
Phlox: Nothing like that, Captain. He's perfectly healthy. But he does require a, er, liquid breathing medium at the moment.
Archer: [looks questioningly at Phlox]
Phlox: Alright, I've given him gills. It's a perfectly normal example of forced devolution. Why, it might even turn out to be an advantage! I know how much you love water polo....
Travis knows who Future Guy is... Too bad no one ever asked him about him.

Uhura is the hardest one to swallow, she relearned everything in a week! Plus how about her personal memories? she can't get those back. Silly stuff...Oh yes. Uhura had her mind erased and no one mentioned it after, Picard had his mind joined to the Borg and didn't miss a day of work, O'Brien had a prison sentence implanted in his brain that was later ignored, and the Doctor had his memories altered, which he later remembered, and that was forgotten shortly after too (along with his holodeck family). Though it would have been wild to see it in that episode, Star Trek doesn't like to recap on hard times.
Good point.From whence.

Killing the joke, man. Why you killing the joke?Travis knows who Future Guy is... Too bad no one ever asked him about him.
From where does he know him?
