The secret life of Travis Mayweather

I think the problem with the Travis as main character episodes is they kept giving him these big persuasive speeches on morals and ethics. I don't know if it was the writing or Anthony's delivery, but they just fell flat. Any time there were action episodes, he would be the first to be incapacitated with a virus or broken leg or something.

Like the episode right after Horizon, Breach, which I'm watching now. Travis has just been injured. Poor guy.

Weak immunity from being raised inside sterile spaceships, and hollow bones from weak artificial gravity?

^ That would have been an interesting angle to play.

I watched Horizon recently, and thought the story interesting (new captain struggling to demonstrate competence; issues involved in dealing with pirates). The only real problem was the empty hole at the centre of it.

Maybe the whole of Two Days & Two Nights should have been Travis stuck under a rock, wondering if he should gnaw his own leg off. It couldn't have been less interesting than Hoshi's holiday romance.

I very much enjoy and appreciate this character. I think of him as an emotionally well rounded person with a sense of adventure who is more like an 'everyday' person, probably with typical interests and insights.

I would guess him to be visiting the 'sweet spot' often enough as it was a unique spot I'm sure he and his familial ship found interesting. Possibly he would visit it because it was the taste of home and family.

If I'm thinking about it I would see him being athletic; playing competitive games with friends. I would see him as a social crew member, and one who was also comfortable with solitude.

When no-one is looking, Travis likes to log into Archer's ready room terminal and delete the Enterprise's logs - hence TNG having never heard of the Ferengi or Borg.

At the ripe old age of 120, Travis journeyed to Memory Alpha and managed to delete mention of the Enterprise NX-01 altogether - hence it not being on the Enterprise-D's conference room wall:p

^Honestly, It feels like Travis is the best to discuss because his personal life was such a mystery. You pretty much knew what everyone else was up to when off duty, or at least you could fathom it. Travis was an anomaly.

Wait, was Travis Q?

If I'm thinking about it I would see him being athletic;

You know where they really messed up?

Not having him playing that ball game in Desert Crossing.

Incredible missed opportunity.

So you basically want an episode of the entire cast getting hot and sweaty while playing beach volleyball. Am I wrong?

Hoshi:
"Carrots! #specialsoup"
"Pineapple! #birthdayboy"
"Psychic stalker! #getoutofmyhead"

Thus exhausting my entire knowledge of Twitter. :(

Enterprise really had a lot of excellent men unlike my home trek which uhh.. doesn't.

The guy had obviously spent a LOT of effort getting super buff. They had buff, they left buff on the ship :(

Also your twitter idea intrigues me, I think we could do one for all of 'em in one thread. They could have twitter fights..
