Supergirl TV Series is being work on.

Supergirl has it's lead, another Glee alum, Melissa Benoist.

An early character breakdown described Kara as a Kryptonian sent to Earth from her home planet at the age of 12, where she was found and adopted by the Danvers family. The description, originally posted by TVLine, revealed that "after repressing said skills for more than a decade, Kara is forced to bust out her super moves in public during an unexpected disaster. Energized by her heroism for the first time in her life, she begins embracing her abilities in the name of helping the people of her city, earning herself a super moniker along the way."

So getting both Kara and the Danvers angle worked into this version of Supergirl. Two birds, one stone. This early character breakdown of age 12 will need to be moved up a bit.

I've only seen her in Whiplash, where she had a small but important role and played it nicely. Wouldn't have thought of her for this role (also sort of imagined she'd concentrate on a movie career) but while she may not be the obvious physical choice for the role, she's clearly talented and likeable.

I going to post what I wrote on Facebook. I have never heard of her but I have complete confidence in the producer of Arrow and The Flash. Both shows have had excellent casting. Not just in the regular casts but guest stars.

Wrong hair color? Blonde hair can be faked with wigs or dye. I would rather they cast based on talent which can not be faked.

I'd keep forgetting she existed on Glee because the Character was so bland, but then out of the corner of my yellowed eye I'd see her again for the first time and say "Sweet Jesus, whooooo is that?" Which is then when she would talk and ruin again her newest first impression.

Never heard of her before, but she's certainly cute enough (and probably even cuter as a blonde I bet).

And it definitely sounds like there will be a Superman in this. Really curious to see who they cast and how much we'll actually see him on this show.

Where are you getting this from?

I would be extremely surprised.

Maybe if the show does well and the Arrowverse keeps on churning at a high level for several more years, Clark might show up. But not before.

Even if we don't see him early on, I just don't think it's the kind of thing they could hold off on showing for an entire series (let alone an entire first season).

Especially coming from Berlanti, who clearly enjoys throwing in as many comic characters, cameos, and references into his shows as he can get away with.

Arrow begged, and begged and begged, and they couldn't get Blue Fricking Beetle.

Now it's just a question of hotpants, pants or streamer thin minidress?

I still remember that great line from Ma Kent in the pilot of Lois and Clark...

"No one is going to be looking at your face Clark."

:)

What about Jimmy Olsen or Lucy Lane?

Hell, just admitting that Metropolis and Gotham exists would be nice.

Right?

Is the character a blond pretending to be a brunette, or a brunette pretending to be blond?

Super powers changeroonie, or store bought wig?

James Olsen is a main character and a CatCo. colleague of Kara's, and Metropolis is mentioned in the audition reels along with Superman, Perry White, and Krypton.

And that's the crux.

There's no evidence WB/DC would ever allow it.

The fact that he's blatantly mentioned in the official synopses for the show as well as in the audition sides doesn't count as evidence that Berlanti and Co. have gotten permission to use him?

For one, they never mentioned him by name. But, even if they did, it was a contextual descriptor at best. There were probably people in the pitch who had no idea who Linda Danvers even is.

Now I could be totally wrong. Gotham could be a sign that they've finally decided to lighten up on the embargo. But I doubt it. I think the only reason Flash exists is because it was (barely) grandfathered in.

And I would think that Berlanti would be chomping at the bit to get Bruce into the Arrowverse before Clark.

Sure. Tons of actors dye their hair for movie or TV roles. Heck, look at Spider-Man 3 -- you had the blond Kirsten Dunst playing the redheaded Mary Jane Watson and the redheaded Bryce Dallas Howard playing the blond Gwen Stacy.

And blond is the rarest natural hair color in adults, so most blonds dye their hair anyway.

The classic bat-embargo was about maybe doing a Batman show at some point and not having the public confused by an awful Batman on Smallville considering about giving up on Batman?

Gotham exists because Batman didn't piss away his credibility appearing on all the little shows that drowned under their own weight over the last ten years.

Batman no being connected to Constantine or Flash really says that DC loves walls.

I saw on imdb that they are making a Flash move due out in 2018 that is not connected to the Flash TV series.

And that they have cast the Flash. Ezra Miller

Supergirl is blond.

Linda Danvers is brunette.

How did they do it in 1984?

Was Helen wearing a wig, or did they shoot all the super girl stuff and then dye her hair for the Linda scenes?

Will this series be linked to flash and arrow? I am personally getting bored of all this DC TV Shows on the CW.
