Frakes blew his feature film directing career with Thunderbirds. I actually think he could make a decent picture with $200 million, but it will never happen. He's doing fine directing television and that's probably where his career will stay.
Because Thunderbirds needs puppets, and that film had no puppets.

About 2 months before the film came out here, in my local mall therew was a big poster for it. I stopped to admire it. So did a significant number of other guys in their 30s and 40s. The film was not made for them, and that is exactly who it should have been aimed at, with some stuff to appeal to teens. The same audience as Transformers, in effect.
