List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

Identity Crisis, one of my least favorite tng episodes. But hell, I even watch those every once in a while.

Even bad Star Trek beats anything else on TV.

Case in point, I'm almost done with a re-watch of all 12 movies. Today was 2009. I will always prefer Shatner, Nimoy and Kelley to Pine, Quinto, and Urban, but again, even lesser Star Trek is better than anything else.

Last night I decided I've avoided The Way to Eden long enough.
Not a bad episode at all, really, but, as a fan of real hippie music, the faux hippie music was almost unbearable.

Not to mention that real hippies are peaceful and benign. These ones were really nasty.

Star Trek Into Darkness, concluding my re-watch of the movies.

There is one aspect of this movie that annoyed me, that I either didn't notice or forgot about the last time I watched it (which was September 2013, when the DVD came out). That is, I found myself having to rewind the movie every few seconds to play scenes again because the characters talked so fast, I missed what they said the first time. Everybody talks so damned fast in this film, they actually made William Shatner seem like a snail in comparison. I also tried watching the movie with the closed captioning on, hoping that would help. It didn't. I still had to rewind ALL THE TIME.

Maybe you played it at fast speed. I once watched a movie and found that I had a hard time following the plot. Turns out I was watching it a 150 percent of the normal speed.

Dwight Schultz really hit it out of the park in this episode, creating a memorable and popular recurring character in Reg Barclay that could have just as easily been a one-off had it been given to another actor.

Wish he would have been a one off. The character never fit the mold of a 24th century Starfleet officer. How exactly did he survive all those years in Starfleet with crippling anxiety and no medical professional noticing?

Though the character was the first signs the writers were trying to move away from the "Roddenberry Vision".

I see your point, but to me, Barclay was a much more realistic and believable character than most of the usual one-offs that we saw in TNG, and I found that refreshing. The future will still have weird people, despite what Gene may have thought.

My last watchthrough was DS9, so What We Leave Behind.

Barcalay was a very well written character but Dwight Schultz was not a particularly good actor. His style fit his role in TNG rather well but you can see in Stargate's 'Gamekeeper' how limited he actually is.
