I finished Cycles since my last post. I really enjoyed this one. So does the death of the Amazon's leader mean that's the last we've seen of them? The end made it pretty clear Hero will be back at some point.
I started the Ratchet & Clank comic miniseries a couple days ago. R&C is one of my favorite video game series, and the first issue of the mini was pretty much the same quality.

I read "The Valiant #1" and thought it was really good. I vaugely got the Valiant characters in the book...the little who's who at the back helped out. Will be following this to see where it goes. The art is lovely. Also will be picking up "The Imperium" I think it's called in Feb?
The Valiant #1 was indeed good and sets up the series really good. I'm glad it's serving as a solid introduction to characters within the VU as that is one of it's main intents.
Imperium looks to be a stunning book. Harada is one of those characters in the "benevolent dictator" molds. I imagine the book to possible be as if Doom was establishing Latveria and how he'd deal with the world at large as it tries to deal with him and his known power.
The other upcoming VALIANT NEXT intiatives for 2015 that I'm eager for are Ninjak and Ivar, The Timewalker. As DC has cancelled books out from under me I've been less inclined to pick up other nu52 offerings and instead found VALIANT a good place to put my reading dollar.

I finally have started reading IDW's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" over the last week or so and have been absolutely blown away by it! This book is amazing. I wish I had read it much sooner than now because I love it. I'm into I guess the third arc, just past Shredder and Splinter's confrontation which was beautifully written. The art is amazing. I'm currently just reading the main series, not any of the micro series which I guess I'll have to get since they've tied them into the main book. This has fast become one of my favourite titles right now.
I am actually in the same situation. I started reading it in the past week, and actually I think I'm one story arc past you. I'm not a big fan of the franchise (not that I dislike it, it just wasn't one of the cartoons I grew up on, although I liked the live action movies as a kid), but I'm really enjoying the comic. The Splinter/Shredder fight was very cool, much better than just having Splinter knock Shedder off a roof to end a fight
I have to say that so far...this might have to be my favourite incarnation of the franchise so far. That's with being a big fan of the original comics, the classic series, and the current Nick series. This is just been so good.
Glad to hear those recently picking up the IDW TMNT series are enjoying it as I've been with it from the start. The micro series, while being self contained, do have a B-story within them that flows back into the main series. You aren't going to be lost if you don't read them but they are good. I think the main exception is with Bebop and Rocksteady.

As gang thugs their human counterparts appear in the main story but they are, I do believe, mutated in the Kari one shot, and then they appear as their mutant forms in the reg series with a one sentence or so throwaway line for explanation.
Yeah the main series does a good job of referencing what happened in the various micro-series but without making you have to go and read them if you don't want. This is just awesome stuff. If this quality continues, this will be a top five book for me all year long!
I'm personally pumped by it being a huge Hickman fan and loving what he's been doing...and I got "The Valiant #2" today as well.
I also picked up Ivar, Timewalker #1 from Valiant as well as The Valiant #2.
I really, really enjoyed Timewalker #1 for a number of reasons: the energy, the dialog, the humor the Rai #1 cameo. Good stuff.
I highly recommend this based on issue #1 alone. You need not be versed in any backstory to dive right in to the character.
I should've read Valiant #2, and will tonight, but still had Star Wars #1 hanging over from last week. I have no plans to get the series but did find the art and story in the first issue very well done. Even with that cliffhanger I'll just wait for a trade.
Speaking of, I got the Marvel Star Wars vol.1 Omnibus and it is a nicely put together book!

Yes, The humor in Ivar, Timewalker was good. Although they missed a golden opportunity to explain were all those missing socks from the dryer go.
I think I missed The Valiant #2. I thought it was on my pull list but it turns out it wasn't. I'll have to head back to my LCS to pick it up. I enjoyed the first issue.

The VALIANT #2 - The Immortal Enemy took on some creepy appearances and was demonstrating his hype as this evolving unstoppable monster. I must say the creepy Mr.Flay that Kay saw was the most impactful in terms of suspenseful danger. Solid art and story, just two issues in I'm liking the pace and very curious where it goes from here based on that last panel of "calling in the reserves".
TMNT #42 - Part two of Attack on the Technodrome, I really enjoyed the two pages that played catch up with the reader about what we thought we knew, vs what had happened "off panel". I felt from a script perspective this had a cinematic feel to it, well done. All TMNT fans should be reading this book.
Side note: in the letters column the Editor mentions that Color Classics vol.4 is coming for later this year. In case anyone else was wondering or is acquiring this Hardcover set like me.

I just started the Neutrino arc...holy fuck they've made the damn Neurtino's awesome in this book! I never ever thought I'd say that! 
I just read "The Valiant #2" and am really enjoying this book even aside from Lemaire's writing. I might use it to explore the Valiant Universe a bit more. The art is just beautiful as well and Lemaire is crafting an interesting story.
