I was completely shocked when they revealed the Colossus... despite the fact that the next episode is called "Day of the Colossus"I do think that's taking the technological advancement to a ridiculous degree for this era, but oh well.
Wu stepped up too, and this time Korra wasn't around for him to impress. Maybe he does have some legitimate leadership ability after all. I still don't think it'd be a good idea to restore the monarchy, though.
Well, she got the metal from the great metal domes of Zaofu.
Did they establish if those were platinum back in Season Three?
They can't be, or else the Zaofu-ians and Kuvira couldn't metalbend them. Presumably the Republic's metalbenders could attempt to bend the MegaMechaSuit, but Kuvira's own bending ability, and that of the others presumably supporting her efforts, would counter them.Did they establish if those were platinum back in Season Three?
I don't think Kuvira ever metal bended the Zoid itself. In every scene I have seen, Kuvira metal-bended levers in the Zoid's control room.

Ooh, nice catch. I remember a character wondering why the domes had been dismantled, but I didn't make the connection.

Holy cow, Kuvira built a Megazord! Well, really more of an EVA, since the creators are fans of Neon Genesis Evangelion. But either way, I did not see that coming.
I've never seen Evangelion, though I've thought about checking it out.
