I don't know what the Io9 writer is talking about, I thought both halves of the crossover were great.
I was a little disappointed we didn't see Ollie's baby momma pop up on the Arrow episode. I wonder when they will bring her back? That is a hell of set up.

Given that Moira packed Olie's baby momma off to Central City and the events of the Flash happened there it made more sense to have her run in Oliver there (she might even had agreed not to return to Starling City).

Everything that happened in the Arrow ep took place in Starling.

Was the mother getting an allowance or was their a one time lump sum?

From an accounting perspective ongoing payments might be seen as worthy of investigation for dodginess, and frankly if the ongoing payments Sandra needed to survive stopped, explaining her situation to Oliver might now be necessary.



Just had a wonderful thought.

If Berlin's allowance was being paid by Queen Consolidated and not Moira's personal finances that may still survive after a fashion in family trust...

Ray Palmer has been actually lookin' after Oliver's kid since he "stole" Queen Consolidated from the Queens.

I suspect it was a one time sum. I also suspect it wasn't reported on her taxes (actually, it would likely be classified as a gift, so it would be on Moira's taxes anyway and I suspect she knew how to hide its true purpose).

It may have been a trust set up for the baby, though, rather than a direct cash payment.

It was a one time payment for $1 million to feign having a miscarriage, and departing Starling. Moira handed her the check during their talk. I'm sure Moira would have paid her out of some secret personal account, unconnected to the corporation. Only Walter would possibly be able to have found out about it during their marriage....and maybe Merlyn. If he had motivation.

Now how Sandra would have explained depositing a check that size would be her problem.
