You should've seen the slices. The tiers were vanilla, chocolate, vanilla. Chocolate etc etc and there were 7 or 8 tiers.

It is my son Ian's 6th birthday today, he was born at 1:35pm 6 weeks premature. He spent the first week in ICU and we were so scared. He is pure joy in my life and I love him without ends. His warmth, gentle soul and love knows no bounds. He is truly the light that shows the way.

Congratulations on the blessing in your life, Tom. I've never had my own kids but I know how others talk about theirs, and they can be one of the best things that can ever happen to a person in this world.
Thanks guys, my kids are the light of my life. I love my wife and she loves me, I think it's palpable. However their is a radiance of love that comes from a child that is transcendent.
We went to Dave & Busters to celebrate his birthday. He is so happy, he got the one thing he really wanted. It's a Transformer Rescue Bots Optimus Prime T-Rex Dinobot.

Even with all the snow today, I was able to make it out to the Y for my watercolor class. I finished this one up today.

That is very good. It's something I would like to end up doing - though I am more of an acrylic guy. Keep it up.

I am sooooo glad we did the Syracuse weekend trip last weekend. It's the first time in years we didn't have to drive either there or back during a snowstorm.

My niece and nephew are about to get their replies from Santa Claus. All I have to do is put them in their pretty envelopes, place the shiny Santa seal on the back, and quietly sneak them into my brother's mailbox (I don't think I can use the North Pole as a return address).
My niece is at the age where she's starting to doubt (she's 8). She asked me the other day, whether Santa Claus was real, and I do not lie to her. Ever. So I told her "yes", predicated on the notion that I do believe in Santa Claus, even though not in exactly the same way she does.
When she gave me her letter to give to Santa (I used to work for him, you see), she asked that he write back. I assured her he would find the time.
