Meh, I once thought similarly, but I don't think I want a sequel anymore. Unless they turn it on its head and let you play a mean girl this time around. It would be a way more subtle game, and way more cruel. Beautiful in its own way.
Is anyone else into the Super Smash Bros. games? I've been playing a lot of Project M and the 3DS game.
I've heard people who are quote-unquote serious about those games are calling them "Smash". But seriously, no, not my cup of tea.
Right now I'm alternating between (all on XBox One): Forza Horizon 2 Halo: The Master Chief Collection Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Grand Theft Auto V
Minecraft, which is about it for this week. But pre-ordered Pokemon Alpha Sapphire so that should be here soon.
Yeah, I also pre-ordered Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and have been playing that for the past two days ever since I got it.
Since Friday i've been playing Dragon Age Inquisition on PS4.. a really good game that overwhelms you with options and things you can do at first but after a few hours and some experimenting you get the hang of it. The game is massive so the next few weeks will be covered. After that it's most likely GTA V and the plan after this (which will cover me well after New Year's i guess) is not decided yet. I was really stoked for Assassins Creed Unity but after seeing the first real, unbiased reviews and opinions i've cooled down a little bit. It's definitely on my list but it'll probably be spring before i actually go buy it. Most anticipated game for me currently would be Evolve.. the game concept sounds like much fun and is kinda unique which is lacking sorely nowadays (can anyone recommend a game that doesn't have a numeral after the title?). The new Batman game also sounds promising.
I started playing Little BIG Planet 2. I bought it when it first came out after enjoying the first one, but I never actually bothered to play it. I'm not loving the sequel, but it's something to do since I'm between games at the moment.
I finished Metal Gear Solid 4. Even though I played it years ago and liked it, I was much more invested in it this time after having played MGS 2, 3 and Peacewalker. Its a great game with a great story. I hope MGS 5 turns out to be as good, I'm really excited for it now.
I couldn't believe the running time of the final cutscene in MGS4.... 1hr 10mins. Wow....a feature length final cutscene! Lol!
I played the games "History Channel: Civil War - A Nation Divided" and "Condemned: Criminal Origins". Playing the first game me a greater appreciation for the skill of the soldiers of the 1860s. They were using slow loading weapons in a stressful situation. It was a different experience to games set in the 20th century and beyond where the weapons can fire a greater number of projectiles and do more damage. For the latter, I like the game until the end where there was a major glitch, which I think was connected to the port version. Reading the history of World War II, I learned in the Western Front that German tanks were destroyed for the most part by tank destroyers. I can't think of a game where the player commanded a tank destroyer; this type of tank was fast, maneuverable, and landed a punch on the Tigers and Panzers. (One model of Tiger tank was so heavy that it waded through water, with a snorkel for the engine.) Shermans weren't ideal for tank destroying - they were notoriious as tenderboxes.
Advanced Warfare looks pretty fucking good. [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubDsSbmAd0A&list=PLgvqmZx-SLkFHNO_NlJ9ItbUV5RzBO6Ny[/yt]
I've been playing Bulletstorm on PS3. Its not amazing or anything, but its a goofy, fun FPS distraction. Sometimes its just fun to run around and shoot/blow up bad guys
