Sounds like Lucas when he thought the original trilogy was going to be three parts....then six parts....then nine parts....then 12(?)...then....

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
A 100 episodes is desired for syndication.

Although with Friends in syndication they've added another 2 seasons called "Friends: The Joey Years" since Joey as a stand alone series fell considerably short of 100 episodes.

    True.

Yeah, not too many people were keen on Joey, I think...lol

TOS was very lucky that syndicators in 1970 took a chance on carrying reruns of the then-recently cancelled series. With just 79 episodes to cycle over and over again for who knows how long ("The Cage" wouldn't even be edited and available for adding to syndicated or even cable episode packages for a couple more decades) they took a bit of a gamble on having enough content, but it was close enough to 100 and the original Trek's demographic numbers at the time of NBC's cancellation were strong and impressive enough that they knew they'd get a strong and loyal audience if they targeted and marketed the show just right.

Even "The Prisoner," with its 17 episodes, gets recurring play on current channels.

    This is true.

Sometimes a short-lived show's cult status is so powerful and the fans are so rabid that channels can't help but carry that handful of existing episodes as part of its lineup because of guaranteed eyeballs on the screen.

Had this been mentioned already in the Rebels thread? More Clone Wars unfinished episodes.

Hopefully it gets a dvd release. Unfinished or not I'd still like to own it.

Most likely it'll be released on StarWars.com. It seems to be implied by Dave Filoni that's there's more episodes that reached the rough animation stage.

Even if the only format Disney and Lucasfilm would use is Blu ray it would be a nice gesture to the fans of the show to allow them to get Season 6 content outside of Netflix and other premium membership websites.

The Lost Episodes are already on DVD I think. Came out recently if I recall.

I know that Disney and Lucasfilm are focused on Rebels and the OT-era stuff now, but I'd really love it if they could some day finish the animation on these incomplete episodes. Unlikely, I know, but it'd be great, and I'm sure people would watch/buy them.

Seriously. I was thinking it would be an awesome project for animation students:
    They get the experience.
We get the fully animated episodes.

    It's win-win.

The Bad Batch episodes are up:

Can't wait to sink into these. The Utapau arc was spectacular.

It's surprising how watchable these reels are given their unfinished state. It helps of course that all the vocal work, sfx and at least a temp music track is done, which makes it almost like a radio play.

This is quite interesting. A whole bunch of stuff from the other unfinished arcs including the Ventress/Voss one, a take on The Searchers on Tattooine with Fett and Bane and even a bit with Ahsoka out on her own. The most interesting thing for me was that they planned to not only catch up to RotS, but go alongside and even overtake it. Even into the early days of the Empire and account for where the likes of Ahsoka and Rex were during those events.

I'm watching the Bad Batch episodes now... it's always magic to see a new Clone Wars episode but I just don't care about clone characters. They're just too generic.

So at this point we've seen episodes that would have run up to Season 7 Episode 7! Did they say they were going to stop at 7 or 8?

6X14 CRYSTAL CRISIS 1 (story reel)

    15 CRYSTAL CRISIS 2
    16 CRYSTAL CRISIS 3
    17 CRYSTAL CRISIS 4
18 BAD BATCH 1 (story reel)

    19 BAD BATCH 2
    20 BAD BATCH 3
    21 BAD BATCH 4
22 SON OF DATHOMIR 1 (comic book)

    7x1 SON OF DATHOMIR 2
    2 SON OF DATHOMIR 3
    3 SON OF DATHOMIR 4
4 DARK DISCIPLE 1 (forthcoming novel)

    5 DARK DISCIPLE 2
    6 DARK DISCIPLE 3
    7 DARK DISCIPLE 4

Finally got around to finishing all 4 Bad Batch episodes. I'm not a fan of clone-centric stories but it definitely improved as it went along. The last episode was particularly epic. It's funny how entertaining and completely these rough animatics feel. I would glad watch an entire series of this, just to get my Clone Wars fix!

BTW in an interview with Force Net, Christine Golden revealed that "Dark Disciple" was an EIGHT episode arc and they showed her the completely animatics of the first four episodes.

    Which means...

6X14 CRYSTAL CRISIS 1 (story reel)
    15 CRYSTAL CRISIS 2
    16 CRYSTAL CRISIS 3
    17 CRYSTAL CRISIS 4
18 BAD BATCH 1 (story reel)
    19 BAD BATCH 2
    20 BAD BATCH 3
    21 BAD BATCH 4
    22 DARK DISCIPLE 1 (forthcoming novel/story reel)

    7X1 DARK DISCIPLE 2
    2 DARK DISCIPLE 3
    3 DARK DISCIPLE 4
4 SON OF DATHOMIR 1 (comic book)
    5 SON OF DATHOMIR 2
    6 SON OF DATHOMIR 3
    7 SON OF DATHOMIR 4
8 DARK DISCIPLE 5 (forthcoming novel)
    9 DARK DISCIPLE 6
    10 DARK DISCIPLE 7
    11 DARK DISCIPLE 8

That takes halfway through Season Seven now! I also heard a mention somewhere of a planned story where Ahsoka teams up with Ventress again and gets some Clone Trooper follows. So that would take us to 7X15. This might be the same story they talked about where Rex and a few others removed their Order 66 chip.
