‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

Maybe a couple of buildings would have been saved, but as has been pointed out multiple times, the vast majority of the destruction occurred before Superman even got there.

Had Supes "taken it outside" with Zod, there would have been a lot less destruction.

And he was supposed to do this how exactly?

Hey hey no need to fight guys.

Hey, I not trying to start a fight I'm just curious on how people think the fight could have gone differently.

With the help of a better writer.

So basically you've got nothing.

Guys, do we really need to re-hash this? There are plenty of old posts in this thread covering that territory if you're interested.

What?

I'm saying that the script sucked. I'm not sure what else I need to say.

I, for one, got a good chuckle out of that.

No offense at the original reply, by the way... I was alluding to earlier conversations after MoS came out that asked why Superman didn't try to direct a majority of the fight out over open water or to an area where less collateral damage would be caused. Yes, they went to space, but that was just for a small part of it.

In both the Smallville and Metropolis fights, Superman gave no mind to the surroundings, which seems to go against why he killed Zod at the end. Through his own actions in fighting Zod and his henchmen, he flew through buildings, blew stuff up and crashed a giant UFO into the city (arguably unavoidable, granted)... But then at the end, he kills Zod so that he doesn't zap a family.

Better writing needed? Perhaps, but also better attention to the logic behind the characters' actions. I actually had no problem with him killing Zod, I just wish the reasoning had been consistent.

An actual answer to how Superman could do better without the typical silver age deus ex machina ass pull that made the character boring.

And Superman could stop Zod from going where he damn well pleased how exactly?

And the recently released photos are directly about the destruction in Man of Steel. What else did you expect us to talk about?

Not rehashing the same argument that will never be resolved about how he should have or couldn't have avoided damaging Metropolis for the thousandth time.

Funny. Grant Morrison did an anti-Superman storyline during the 2011 New 52 reboot.

Amy Adams looking cute in these blue denim dungarees. I assume this is on the Kent Farm.

I wish Guy Gardner's Green Lantern was in this. I would pay big money for a live action version of the One Punch from Ben Affleck's Batman.
