Harry Kim vs Geordie vs Barclay on the dating game

As an aside, I usually find it kinda creepy when people are awkward around the opposite/same sex, because it implies they're off in their minds thinking about sex when often times, they shouldn't be.
That's a rather sweeping statement. I was awkward around women before I even knew what sex was.

I never got the impression that sex on holodecks was discouraged; only that replicating an actual person was verboten.
And even that restriction is probably "without permission". For all we know there may be people who have made their likeness broadly available with a range of restrictions that they set - allowing themselves to be used as non-nude body models for holodeck characters, possibly including characters in dating simulations, or they might even allow themselves to be used in outright porn. (It occurs to me that another 'switch' you might be able to select for the use of your image could be "for non-violent programs only", in case you don't like the idea of your likeness being shown injured or killed. But I realize that's a bit of a tangent here. ;) )

Does Geordie even have any non-engineering hobbies or interests?

At least Barclay has a cat and Harry is a musician.

Geordi plays poker occasionally. That said, if I had to pick one of the three, I'd certainly rather go on a date with Geordi than Harry or Barclay.

Oh I'd take Harry, no contest. I'm sure Geordie would bore me to death. I just think on the game he would do better because he would be less likely to flub it and sound bad.

Well, so was I. But I'm obviously not talking about children. I remember my older brother (by nine years) brought a girl over to the house one day and I found her to be the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I made an ass of my eight-year-old self by picking one of my mom's roses from the bush and handing it to her while my finger was still bleeding.

Geordi kinda sorta got a girl in Aquiel.

I don't recall Harry or Broccoli ever getting a girl.

So Geordi wins by having a .05% success rate with women.

Harry kim had the dead chick and the beer bottle ship chick and the racer chick just at top of my head.

The big question for Geordi is, are SF uniforms infrared-transparent?

I suppose 24th century fashion would have to choose fabrics taking into account different aliens that can see different frequencies of light.

It'[s a very plausible assumption.

Maybe she was part of the Fedcorp of Girlfriends for Mass Shooting Prevention in order to stop Harry from becoming a complete frustrated nutjob.

^It's not that plausible. Also to be fair, the three people in this dating game are great at their jobs. Just because they aren't the best at relationships, doesn't make them nutjobs. They all saved their ships and other series' ships too.

In the books Libby works for Starfleet Intelligence. So who knows why she was really dating Harry. He of course did not know this.

Harry and Travis both had girlfriends who worked for Starfleet Intelligence without their knowledge. Both the sort not to dig too deeply or ask questions.
