Zack Snyder will direct SUPERMAN

David Goyer and Jonah Nolan are the screenwriters, Chris is the Executive Producer and while he'll have input (much like Bryan Singer on First Class) I'm sure that he'll allow Zack to execute the story. It'll be a collaboration. Nolan isn't going to handcuff him.

C. Nolan as E. Producer is better than having Jon Peters...

"Giant fuckin' spiders!" :rommie:

^
I am sure but he doesn't carry much weight as he used to on those failed attempts.

20 ways Zack Snyder's Superman can avoid becoming a superdisaster

16.) DO NOT show Lois and Clark mid-coitus.
This is not Mallrats. This is not the Owl Ship. A discreet make-out session will suffice. "Hallelujah" should not be played.
Has anyone here really lost sleep worrying about this?

I dunno about that SPECIFICALLY, but the hallelujah scene is an example of a "dumbass Zack Snyder" type scene that people are worried is going to permeate the film. Let's just say I hope he departs from his 300/Watchmen style.

Christian Bale as Superman, George Clooney as Lex Luthor, Michael Keaton as Perry White, Val Kilmer as Zod and Adam West as Brainiac. :)

Cillian Murphy should play Lex Luthor's assistant "Henderson". Quite frankly I wouldn't mind if he were cast in a bit role. He's awesome in pretty much everything that he is in.

Everytime I read something about Zack Snyder, I am reminded how glad I am that I went to a regular screen rather than an IMAX viewing of Watchmen. I'm not sure I'm heterosexual enough to handle a 6 foot tall penis waving lazily in my face for two hours.

So...I'm cautious about him directing this.

Both 300/Watchmen were R rated films, I think people need to use their mentality and come back to reality if they think Warner bros is going to make a R rated Superman film or indeed a Superman film that has similar themes in it.

Peters will probably be a producer on the project. He was on "Superman Returns" lol.

I think he only got credit because he was involved with the long development of it. I don't believe he had anything to do with Singer's version (which btw could have used a giant fucking spider).

That's probably true. Peters even appears in the behind the scenes documentary with Singer all buddy buddy and praising him lol.

I recorded that documentary.

In Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman, Jon Peters admitted that the Superman franchise was problematic for him: "The elements that I was focusing on were away from the heart, it was more leaning towards Star Wars in a sense, you know. I didn't realize the human part of it, I didn't have that."

Polar bears(which I still don't know what that's about)
Suicidal Superman
Superman borg/Edward Scissorshands
Suit in Can
The Kents living in an apartment.

Peters wanted a polar bear/abominable snowman type creature that Brainiac would have as a sidekick so they could sell plush toys to kids. I'm not referring to the Up in the Sky documentary but the main behind the scenes documentary included on disc two of "Superman Returns". Peters is on set standing beside Singer and they're joking around and he says his line about Bryan knowing what he was doing. It was similar to the line quoted from the Up in the Sky documentary.

He was probably back to being his seemingly douchey self. There was reportedly a planned autobiography from Peters with a section dedicated to his allegedly sleeping around with big name actresses but this was stopped before it could be published. Would have been an interesting read. Probably would have contained sections on his dealings with the "Death of Superman" projects as well.
