Youtube video that points out almost all TNG movie mistakes

Very entertaining but a lot of it can be easily explained away such as them finding a way to remove/deactivate the emotion chip in the two years between FC and INS, Data breaths to emulate humans but he clearly doesn't need too, Improvements in Weapons in the 8 years between BOBW and FC, Picard shaving his head at the academy for a period of time and then growing it back before graduation, Worf deciding 3 years as an ambassador was enough and returning to the Enterprise, Picard lying about completely recovering in 'The Drumhead', etc.

Plus the Janeway court martial thing was from Year of Hell which was reset. They were talking about her actions in refusing to give up her command not in the DQ in general.

Still it made some good points and was very entertaining.

Ouch, some of them are convincingly shown to be errors, when put that way!!! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Wouldn't the video have to include the entire films Insurrection and The One With Picard's Clone Dressed Like a Woman?

Joe, absent minded

Wow...ending with an elderly Spiner was a little rude.

They should show this to all the people blowing a fuse over nacelle proportions and boot styles.....Then again, maybe they shouldn't.

As far as Scotty's concerned, part of him probably hoped Jim had been found alive while he, Scotty, was missing.

My favorite part:

Was Picard bald at the Academy?
*flash to a Naussican kicking his ass*

I bet there are just as many if not more mistakes in the TOS movies and shows. Heck TOS didn't know their year till after the show was done. And there were several episodes where Spock's parents are referred to in the past tense like they died. Yet they were alive in Babel.

Star Trek is known for being consistently inconsistent.

I blame this loss of memory on the degradation of Scotty's patern in the transporter buffer.

In NEM, he's shown as a cadet who apparently shaved his head. In TNG's Tapestry, he's a couple years older and an ensign who apparently let his hair grow.

Amen, brother!

I can't believe someone had time to put all this together. I mean, really - why?

It was pretty funny, though. I couldn't stop laughing. :D

Two comments - Data claims that he does not age, but in the episode "Inheritance", LaForge says Data ages in appearance. I can only assume he found a way to do so at some point. The writers no doubt added this line realizing that Spiner will age between films.

Which is why it's so strange that Spiner complains about being too old to play Data. Was LaForge lying? Or did the writers and fans simply forget a throwaway line from an average 7th season episode?

Similarly, Q says he is ageless, but he can change his appearance at will. Thus, there is no issue with him appearing older.

Mordok was the first Benzite in Starfleet. Mendon was taking part in an officer exchange program. He wasn't an official member of Starfleet any more than Riker was an official Klingon.

The thing is TremblingBluStar, and this is what I don't get about some fans, they'll make assumptions to cover the TPTB's asses when it comes to some mkistake they can live with but if it's an item they cannot live with then anyone elses assumption to cover it becomes invalid.
