You're the Editor: 2024 Edition

Now that the series is over, I would really love a Tales of Star Trek Picard anthology. So many great stories to branch off of. So much could written about Worf, Beverly, and Jack, and there are definitely stories to tell about Laris, Elnor, Soji, Vadic, Section 31, Ro, and Erik Soong. And all that without moving inti the Star Trek: Legacy era at all. Totally not going to happen but it would be amazing. Star Wars has shown anthologies are still a thing in today’s tie-in publishing world.

A Fenris Ranger Seven and a Captain Worf novel are still real possibilities that we really need though.

I would fix eBooks for a better experience on Amazon, etc. Get every single Trek book available on there (I know some have mentioned the logistics of contracts as an obstacle here but we can still at least try), get all the cover art updated to high resolution (some of them still show up on Kindle as black and white) and adjust all the prices so that there are no more single novels that cost $20 each. Set a maximum price of $9.99, a minimum price of $0.99 and make sales random and often. Offer deals on sets. You want all the novels in the A Time To series? Get them all on sale for less than it would cost to buy them individually. You want to fill in the blanks in your collection? Here's a deal if you buy the remaining novels you don't have yet. Fix the formatting where needed (the Imazadi Signature Collection is weirdly broken and the first Stargazer novel has random line breaks everywhere). Make buying Star Trek books fun, easy and rewarding.

@DWMarch: Trust me, if a Trek book isn't available in eBook form, it's not because they haven't tried. Simon & Schuster got on the eBook bandwagon before any other publisher did, and were committed to the notion of putting all their front- and back-list in eBook form. Anything not in eBook is not there because of issues beyond their control.

@KRAD, thanks for the clarification. I misread something in another thread that had me thinking S&S was holding back on trying because of the perceived difficulty involved. I didn't know they had already tried. Your insider insight is much appreciated!

The only thing I'd say is that I want to see Nan Bacco join the new Prime Timeline in some manner, Anton Chekov be damned. ;)

Hey, Anton Chekhov being Federation President in 2401 doesn’t mean Nan Bacco couldn’t have been president in the 2380s/90s - she served her terms and retired back to Cestus III and never missed another Opening Day for the Pike City Pioneers again.

Or for that matter, she could be next in line once Anton finishes...!

The Prodigy books are not available as eBooks. What's the reasoning behind that?

An anthology book featuring a short story from each series.
A small lineup featuring a TOS book, a DS9 book, and a SNW book.
Two “crossover” books featuring characters from multiple series. One book about T’pol’s life after Enterprise that heavily features the TOS crew. The other book more of an ensemble with Nog and Jake Sisko reuniting after DS9 to look into some mysterious happenings, along with Riker as the captain of the Titan, and maybe Tuvok and Boimler are on the Titan as well.
And once again I am pleading for another technical manual.
