You're most unpopular Trek opinions

I'm curious, in your view what's so special about "Fair Trade"? If you don't mind elaborating on that.

In essence? It's a good Neelix episode. One can count those on one hand. Neelix isn't as nice a guy as he sometimes seems - he has a checkered past, and he's a guy who has lived rough. He's willing to cut a few corners if it means he can keep his highly comfortable position on Voyager, and that's an interesting turn.

But what I particularly like is Wixiban, Neelix's charmingly sleazy alter-ego. I always felt Wix was more of what Neelix should have been like.

But admittedly, another key reason is I like eccentric choices for my avatars. ;) I doubt anyone else would have picked Wixiban.

That's certainly true. Also, a reason for liking "Fair Trade" is that this episode adressed something I had been wondering about at the time it aired, namely the extent of Neelix' familiarity with the area of the DQ Voyager was travelling through. It's a rare instance of Voyager the series doing something that seems 'realistic', and we got the opportunity to see the Neelix character deal with a difficult practical problem.
