It's kinda disappointing how low-res the texture for Earth (and other planets) are. It's pretty bad when you are doing beauty shots at max settings, and the planet below is jaggy as all hell.

Personally, i think the planets just need to be a lot bigger and have a death zone atmosphere you can burn up up in before you reach the point where you actually notice the low rez surface.

I think Earth Spacedock map should have the Earth cover nearly the entire "bottom" to give a feeling of actual orbit and vastness.

The devs have mentioned before that their graphics engine has a maximum size for all objects and they simply cannot render planets any larger than they currently are.

They could make it a partial planet or just paint it onto the skybox.
