Tickets to one of the concerts during Brooks & Dunn's final tour. I was so panicked when the website showed them as sold out, but I gambled and tried calling. They still had some, but the lady I talked to said that they haven't had an act sell out this fast since they hosted Elton John.

You are dead to me, RojoHen. :(

I did most of my Christmas shopping online, and it's starting to arrive. But one item is way bigger than I thought it was going to be, and I have no idea how I'm going to get it to Japan. My girlfriend likes the Friday the 13th movies, but her room is already chock full of memorabilia from the series. I found one thing I knew for certain she doesn't have, a "Camp Crystal Lake" sign that looks nice and foreboding. I thought the thing would be small but it is NOT. It is freaking ginormous, and even though it's plastic (so it weighs practically nothing) it doesn't fit in any boxes I have, and the box it shipped in is entirely the wrong shape to hold any of the other presents.

I am going to be perturbed if I have to ship two boxes. But, oh well. Life goes on.

I bought some old movies for someone who is like a grandmother to me. I know they are some of her favorites and she doesn't own them, and she doesn't know about the wonders of the internet so I thought I'd get them as a Christmas present for her.

Also my husband paid my tuition bill. Ouch! But I don't think there's a student in the world that's as excited as I am.

I bought 3 CDs worth of Christmas music, via Amazon. I want to have TONS of holiday music to listen to on the drive up to my folks' place.

Greetings from Fort Worth, TX.

I have now moved to the US and am living with my fiancée (can I get a "Whoo hoo!!!!!" people?) and we needed a few things to sort stuff out.

We bought Jenny Craig for a week (yes, I'm on the diet too), supplemental groceries, chairs for the office, hair straighteners for her, beard trimmer for me, a new mouse for my laptop as I had to leave the old one in the UK, and lightbulbs to replace the busted ones throughout the house.

A long weekend my first two full days here.

Yay! Glad to hear you're together now. :)

I got my TMP Phaser in the mail today, way unexpected!

It's easily the best Trek-Tek AA/DST has put out yet. This is a true 'prop' right out of the box IMO. Everything's painted, the screw holes are masked adequately, there are no molded trademarks. Fantastic build quality and design.

As for the phaser itself, I was never a huge fan seeing it on screen, but holding it in your hand it becomes a different story.

Unlike the TOS phaser (or the ST3), with it's string-bean handle and nubby trigger, this Phaser is very ergonomic and you can imagine actually using it. At the same time it's elegance makes it serious yet less threatening than the lethal-weapon look of the Assault Phaser. (Which was cool but not very Star Trek)

I'm going to have to get a TWOK version now too, which has a sexy metallic paint job (but boring all-white LEDs :( )

Bought songs on iTunes (kind of like a mix tape!), the X-Files season one dvds, clothes and new shoes for son (who is 11 and in men's sizes...size 10 men's shoes!), Angels and Demons dvd, and Lady GaGa's cd.

Christmas shopping next! Son has a two and a half page list of Transformers he wants

Some Star Trek Blu Rays and some games.

Purchases075Medium.jpg

Some games and some Blu Rays that were on sale at Amazon on Black Friday. The Rock Band game was supposed to be Terminator 2 on Blu Ray, but they sent me the wrong game. I'm sending it back and they shipped out the right thing.

Got a coupon for the Red vs Blue store so I went ahead and bought some DVDs.

Purchases077Medium.jpg

Mystery Science Theater volume 16. Includes a Tom Servo figurine to go along with the Crow one I got like a year ago in another box set.

Tom and Crow together at last.

Farscape: The Complete Series and Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. Thank you, Amazon. :D

Oh, and I also got most of my Christmas shopping done at the same time, too, but who cares about that? :p

Had to write my accountant a cheque. I hate doing that. He's good, but damn he earns a good living.

Is it true he's naming his new boat after you?

I paid for tree trimming today. They cleaned up a lot of dead branches and shaped the trees and separated them where they were growing together. I'll post pics of the pile of branches tomorrow.
