Aw, man- I'm sorry.
I spent about $100 bucks at Petco buying food and litter for the cats and lots of presents for a friend who just got a new dog. I'm broke, man!
My latest purchase is the one I have been looking forward to for months.

I bought a spare wheel for my car (why is a full sized wheel cheaper than a donut?!? It makes no sense!!!), a loaf of gluten-free cinamon bread, a new pair of glasses and RX sunglasses, and several movies.... Apollo 13, The Jerk, 3:10 to Yuma (new version), Shaun of the Dead, Bruce Almighty, and Liar Liar.

I hadn't really bought myself anything in quite awhile, but finally have something to contribute. Was sort of forced on me ..., but it's an electronic gadget, so I'm not all THAT upset about it. 
I've had a Sony PRS 500 e-reader for a few years now. First gen device, but it worked like a dream.
Until I got my new computer last summer and discovered, after the fact, that the reader is not compatible with Vista or Win 7 64 bit.
But, I could still use it with my work computer.
Then I just got an email from Sony last week saying they're changing their DRM format to make more books (including open source) readable on the new reader ... but that mine won't support the new format. I could either send it to them for 2 weeks for a firmware upgrade ... or they'd give me $75 off if I trade it in on the new fancy schmancy touch screen model.
After doing some research, I chose the latter.
I'm now the happy owner of a brand new Sony PRS 600:
