I want that Delorean model...looks sweet. Yeah Hermiod, I have wanted the hardcover omnibus when it first came out last year but these paperpack versions are the next best thing and the second volume is coming out at the end of August.

I shall probably invest in a set at some point. I have the original comics, but it gives me an excuse to read the whole thing again.

I bought some Tabac deodorant for my Dad, some conditioner for me (Mint & Tea Tree and Almond & Coconut), nougat, crisps, loo roll, mini-trifles, jacket potatoes and a £43 haul in Lush. :D

The third season of The West Wing
A copy of the special edition of Devil May Cry 3 (older game I know ;) )
And this one:

And I pre-ordered (delivery will be at the end of August) this:

I bought a new garden hose today for my neighbour (she's 80 and walking impaired) her garden is a semi-desert at present.
The last thing I bought for myself was an autographed picture of Andrew Robinson.

Subaru, kick ass!

Me? My latest and greatest purchase was gasoline last night as my brother ran out of gas and I had to take him some :)

I recently purchased some gas for my car, a drink, some chips for my lunch and small doughnuts. I also purchased Voyager year 4 on DVD and should get that today in the mail. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Oh yeah, in case you care (and haven't heard about it yet), the new S4 is supposed to be a 3.0 turbo engine (most likely bi-turbo). So if you want a V8 under your hood, the new S4 might not be the car for you.

Yeah, I heard that. Not quite sure what I think about biturbos. On one hand, it saves a fuel I guess, on the other, it's not a V8 and I suspect reliability may be a bit dodgy (it always used to be on the B5-era S4s which were biturbos).

Anyway, I got my car back today (just in time b/c I need it for a business trip) and the lovely service manager was able to put all the radiator investigation and replacement work they did under my extended warranty! She will be getting a present this Christmas I think, or at least a great bit of customer feedback from me to the dealership's overall manager! The investigation alone would have cost me over £400, then the cost of the replacement and its fitting... I'm guessing the total would have been close to £700+. But she managed to get it all done under warrant; I'm glad I bothered to buy it when my manufacturer's one expired. Only had to pay about £20 for a few other odds & sods that needed doing. Result!

You're making me sound a whole lot knowledgeable about cars than I actually am. :o

Not that that's a bad thing...

Well, judging on the new 2.0 turbos that they put in all sorts of VAG cars the new 3.0 turbo should be pretty reliable. Because the reliability of the 2.0T is leaps and bounds ahead of the old 1.8T and 2.7T.

As for a V6 turbo vs. a V8, I'd usually pick the V8 for many reasons (better sound, better low end grunt, I'm generally not a fan of turbos).

Anyway, good to hear about the great service you got from your dealer. :)

Speaking of having to get a car repaired, I was quite an "interesting" experience about a month ago actually. I was driving down the highway doing about 180km/h (110mph) and all of a sudden I hear this weird noise coming from the engine compartment. I look through my rear view mirror and there's white smoking coming out of the car. So I slowed down, the noise stopped and the AC stopped working. I knew right away it had to be the AC compressor (it's a common problem on '06 and '07 VWs). Anyway, I drove home without a problem (luckily I could put the top down 'cause it was pretty warm) and then took it to the dealer the next day. I was right, it was the AC compressor. Luckily the car is still under warranty, so they replaced the compressor and the AC radiator/cooler/whatever you call it. So yeah, I got pretty lucky 'cause my warranty expires at the end of June. ;)

I bought apple sauce and chicken soup for my upset stomach. :(

I wanted to buy these:

Or these:

Or these (in white):

Alas, the (glorious) first pair is $345 -- more than a bit ridiculous since I rarely wear heels so high. I may just let myself choose one of the second two, though. :)
