I want that Delorean model...looks sweet. Yeah Hermiod, I have wanted the hardcover omnibus when it first came out last year but these paperpack versions are the next best thing and the second volume is coming out at the end of August.

Sorry to hear that kimc, is your insurance going to cover replacing the siding?
Oh yeah, in case you care (and haven't heard about it yet), the new S4 is supposed to be a 3.0 turbo engine (most likely bi-turbo). So if you want a V8 under your hood, the new S4 might not be the car for you.

Yeah, I heard that. Not quite sure what I think about biturbos. On one hand, it saves a fuel I guess, on the other, it's not a V8 and I suspect reliability may be a bit dodgy (it always used to be on the B5-era S4s which were biturbos).
Anyway, I got my car back today (just in time b/c I need it for a business trip) and the lovely service manager was able to put all the radiator investigation and replacement work they did under my extended warranty! She will be getting a present this Christmas I think, or at least a great bit of customer feedback from me to the dealership's overall manager! The investigation alone would have cost me over £400, then the cost of the replacement and its fitting... I'm guessing the total would have been close to £700+. But she managed to get it all done under warrant; I'm glad I bothered to buy it when my manufacturer's one expired. Only had to pay about £20 for a few other odds & sods that needed doing. Well, judging on the new 2.0 turbos that they put in all sorts of VAG cars the new 3.0 turbo should be pretty reliable. Because the reliability of the 2.0T is leaps and bounds ahead of the old 1.8T and 2.7T.Oh yeah, in case you care (and haven't heard about it yet), the new S4 is supposed to be a 3.0 turbo engine (most likely bi-turbo). Alas, the (glorious) first pair is $345 -- more than a bit ridiculous since I rarely wear heels so high. I may just let myself choose one of the second two, though.![]()
