tsq: Very pretty, as always.

And you may wish to unfold a fishslap against me for this, but: Your dress looks very...out of this world. Like the Negative Universe from that TAS episode. :D

food processor. resisted getting one for years, but wanted to make a nut roast fro a large party and couldn't face chopping about half a kilogram of cashew nuts by hand

I just purchased a Macbook Pro. It was time for a laptop/notebook computer, and I finally ended up going Apple.

I purchased a Royal 'Guard holster from Galco for my 1911. It's an excellent holster that lets me carry inside the waistband. :)

Now, America is even safer. ;)

I paid for it a few weeks ago, but I got my BSG season 3 soundtrack the other day. I've never noticed the music in the series for the most part (which I consider a good thing if it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb), but the stuff on this album is fantastic! It's good enough that I'm not really upset about being screwed over for having to special order it.

- Tickets to see Ben Folds in concert.
- Tickets to see The Kids in the Hall live at the Orpheum in Minneapolis, which should be great fun. Canadian cross dressing comedy rules. :techman:

I bought some dvd's.
- Guns of Navarone
- Mission Impossible (SE)
- Dresden (german miniseries)

Ok, this was supposed to be a reply to an entirely different thread. Move along, nothing to see here.

Friday: A new pair of sunglasses and the widescreen version of The Good Shepherd on DVD (it was on sale!), and I paid my monthly car insurance bill.

Saturday: Birthday gifts, gift bag, birthday card, and a couple of PinkBerry yogurts. Dinner (sushi) and a couple of Kirin Lights.

Sunday: Grande nonfat white chocolate mocha at Starbucks (WTF is up with their new logo for the next eight weeks, anyway?), paid mygas bill, $40 to fill up my car, and I paid my monthly health insurance bill.

I wonder if it's a throwback to their original 1970's logo from when the original Starbucks opened in Seattle. I don't know if it's the original design, but I have been getting a kind of retro vibe from them in the past week.

^But the show was so brilliant. I mean, who couldn't appreciate a line as astute as Scott Thompson's (and I paraphrase, cause it's been ages since I've seen the sketch), "Few people want to know I'm gay, even fewer want to know I'm Canadian."

I read an article about it the other day. It *is* a throwback, and is all part of an eight week plan to try and recapture their customers.

See, that one kind of went over my head. As so much stuff does. :p

I suppose I'm just crude by nature. I prefer Red Green's style of Canadian humor over KITH's. Not to say I don't appreciate the guys' talent - I still remember Dave Foley from that HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon (he played Alan Bean, Apollo 12 LEM pilot) before I'll ever realize he was on KITH.

And you mention Scott Thompson to me, I will immediately reply "Hey, he was on Voyager!" :D

There's an easier way to do that: lower the prices, for crying out loud!

(That, and improve their hot chocolate. The last time I had it, it tasted like complete &^$*, and is the reason why I won't buy from them. If a place can't make hot chocolate, IMO they can't make coffee, even though I don't drink coffee that often.)

As for me, I bought a whole slew of stuff including:
- Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver
- Master's Laser Screwdriver
- Doctor Who Series 3 Soundtrack
- Steelers jersey (custom)
- Penguins jersey (blank)
- Bag of navel oranges
- Multipack of angel hair pasta
- Jar of hair styling clay
