I bought a turquoise-ish colored duvet and matching pillow cases for the guest room.

Now the drapes match the bedspread.

But now the sheets don't match. Damn it.
 
I bought a new HP 2.6GHZ dual core PC with 500GB HD and 3GB of PC2-6400 RAM and lightscribe DVD/CD burner.

I gots me a hair cut the other day, and got them to dye it while they were at it. Much better then 3 or 4 different colour :lol:

And I am going to see TDK tonight. YaY

I just got outbid on an absolutely gorgeous vintage bridle hide briefcase. Top quality, no damage, decades of wear left in it. Auction's not quite over, but I can't really go higher on it as I've also got my eye on a different briefcase due to end in a few days time. :(

EDIT - caved in and bid up a little more, because it's a damned fine example, but I just got outbid by another new bidder. Oh well, will have to redouble my efforts on the other case I've got my eye on instead. I'm definitely out on this one now.

I've just put two of my Brioni suits up for sale on eBay to ensure I have enough of a fighting fund not to feel guilty about really going for the other case. :devil:

I got outbid AGAIN.

But I'm OK with it this time, because I pushed my bid right to my limit and the winning bidder was clearly desperate for it. In case anyone was wondering, the briefcase I was chasing was this crocodile one. Oh well, win some, lose some.

That's a lot of wine. Or books! Or really nice cheese! You could be reading good books while sipping wine and eating cheese! While a hired violinist plays a private concert! And a masseuse rubs your feet! And...

Yeah, but it's crocodile, which always goes for a pretty penny. And while I don't use a briefcase all that regularly, it would be worth having that one on the occasions I needed one. Mainly because one tends to need a briefcase on more formal occasions like going to meetings or whatever, and having such an eccentric one is the sartorial equivalent of shouting "SOD YOU ALL, I DON'T GIVE A MONKEYS" to everyone else in the room. :D

Anyway, I didn't get it, so will have to keep my eyes open for a non-exotic hide one instead. Oh well...

But sadly they likely wouldn't have a clue, lol. Except that one guy who will look at you and go, "You bitch, you outbid me on ebay!" ;)

Your purchases or potential ones never cease to make me feel better about my more modest purchases. :D

I haven't bought anything but a few veggies on Sunday. It's market day tomorrow, so might pick up a few more veggies from the local growers, but my own garden is producing more than enough to feed us at the moment.

Anyone need any zucchini? :p
 
Yeah, I quite like it so far. It's a bit bigger then my previous mouse works is great (I hae pretty big hands). The only thing I don't like is the wheel button which which just needs too much pressure to work.
