I got myself a new friend. He is my evil froggie without a name. He protects our little garden area from evil rabbits who keep trying to eat everything

:guffaw:

He looks like a minion of the underworld. :(

My frog is so evil squirrels have started to spontaneously combust.

If this is true then I want one! The squirrels and rabbits in my neighborhood treat my yard like a buffet.

Went to Great Lakes Crossing, and the electronics store had one on the front desk for 5$ !!
Now I can't get my son off the computer.

Well, after a few months of contemplating and studying and learning what I could about it I decided to go ahead and get myself a new laptop. Apple was having a couple of promotions going on so I also got a new printer/scanner/copier for just $30 and an iPod Touch for free. While I realize they're not meant for everyone I decided that the Macbook Air fit what I wanted out of a laptop and would allow me to save both room and weight when packing both for travel back to England for school and when taking things to school. I've had it since Saturday morning and I couldn't be happier so far. Remote disc worked just like they said it would from my old Windows laptop. After some playing around with the new iPod I wish I had had one of them when I was working on the other side of Seattle, it would have been a lot more convenient than all the times I lugged my laptop to work just to use it for an hour at lunch. I probably would've used it every day with the wireless network at the coffee shop around the corner. Anyway...it was an expensive end of last week but I'm very happy with my purchases.

Well, today I found a top from Kohl's that I ordered..it's really cute. It's maroon and black and it's absolutely darling. I can't wait to get it in another week or so!

Crap. I got a new MacBook Pro last week with an educational discount and nobody there mentioned the iPod deal! :scream:

Anyways, I went to Best Buy yesterday to kill some time. I was about to get Sabbath CD when my brother pointed this out to me:

Yes, the knob does go to 11! I've been listening to it and I must be a real Metal-Head without realizing it because I love all the songs!

Rock on!

Congrats! :) Despite the fact that I'm a PC guy, I know I'd seriously consider a Macbook Air if I was in the market for a laptop.

^If there is an equivalent on the market when I next upgade, I may go for an Air too. I've got a MacBook Pro at the moment which serves me well enough but it's a bit heavy.

I just bought a used Xbox and 2 controllers along with the following games:

Halo
Halo 2
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Star Trek: Shattered Universe
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Doom 3
Half-Life 2
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
King Kong

Planning to buy Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and Silent Hill 2 in the near future.

The spring/summer weather triggered in me a momentary lapse of reason, and I bought some(5) new summer dresses and skirts(2). Oh, and some shoes...

This is my favorite (but my eyes look creepy!):

The color is just dreamy, and it brings out the green in my eyes. I love the way the bodice gathers at the shoulders. The neckline is a moderately low V in the back, which is very comfortable. And magically, it fits like a glove; I've got to shop the vintage look because modern clothes just aren't made for bodies like mine.
I'll post some of the others -- I've got a great, 40's style navy and white polka dot number, an outrageous floral strapless that makes me look as if I've just stepped right out of 1992 (but in a good way), a purplish-heather button-up dress with just a hint of the safari, oh, I could go on -- when I get new batteries for my camera.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I just bought another Syd Mead that I've been collecting Projections. I've always thought that these books would be nearly unobtainable - at least at prices that I would be willing to pay - and now I have three of them. :techman:
