8GB SDHC Ultra II card
3 CD's:
U2 - 18
Wolfmother - Wolfmother
Colbie Caillat - Coco

And some icecream and Maltezers...

This is all rather sudden for you and AstroSmurf...

Is this my wedding present? :cardie: Does it have a big kitchen? Can we paint the living room mocha brown?

(And if we were closer... or even in the same country... I really would be all over Ad. There would be wedding bells, trust me. He makes my heart skip!).

That is quite the compliment to wake up to! :D Thanks Smurfie, you made my day!

The house has a big enough kitchen, more than enough for the two of us. ;)

Hmmm ... AdSmurf? ;)

The recut of Stargate SG1: Children of the Gods. If it was just shortened, I probably would have skipped, but apparently it was rescored, there's new scenes, and Christopher Judge redid his voice performance. So, I guess we'll see if it was a worth-while purchase.

I went shopping for a nice overview of fashion through the ages, with some pretty pictures, and ending up getting: Costume and Fashion - A Concise History by James Laver. I also found some lovely books on Christian Dior and Coco Chanel (boucle suits are heavenly) but in the end, I wanted something broader this time.

It's from the World of Art series, and Blackwell's was doing a two for one offer on books from that series, so I also got Greek Art by John Boardman.

And after a bit more browsing, ended up getting E. H. Gombrich's The Story of Art. I flatter myself as being fairly rounded, but art history is definitely a very weak point of mine, and this seemed the perfect book to fill the gap. We shall see...

The Watchmen and Coraline DVD's. I also picked up the 8th season of Bewitched, one of my favorite shows. I now own the entire series!

(Coraline ROCKS! Loved it! But the DVD's 3D gave me a headache. )

Coralaine was a really well done 3D movie (haven't seen the dvd though).

Today: Groceries, an iPod alarm clock, new black-fancy-enough-to-wear-out gym capris and a tye-dye style stripey t-shirt to go with, a Tide-to-go stick (as I spilled coffee on myself this morning and realized the one I had was dried up :scream:), and haircolour to 'wash those greys right outta mah head!"

The new polarized "Movie Theater 3D" is one thing but anything that requires "colored glasses" messes me up in a bad way. But 3D or not, it is an amazing movie!

Since it's 25% off time at DVD Planet and Deep Discount, I went nuts and bought the Planet of the Apes 40-Year Evolution box set on Blu-ray, as well as A Bug's Life, The Princess Bride and He's Just Not That Into You.

I also bought Coraline on DVD too. I am extremely glad to finally see it without that awful 3D nonsense. I found it very uncomfortable and distracting with no real upside. But yeah the movie is great.

I got some of my student loan money back, and my Advisor told me to purchase a few school related things with it. One of them, she said, should be a laptop just in case your computer ever goes down or your internet connection fails. Since this is an online university, my connection is critical.

So, I took some and bought a brand new Acer Aspire One.
I think it's beautiful, and after removing the bloatware on it (McAfee security suite and a whole bunch of other useless things), she runs like greased lightning. For $278, this is what I got:

Intel Atom Processor (1.6 Ghz)
10.1" Display
160 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
1 GB RAM
256MB Intel 950A Graphics Adapter
3 USB 2.0, 1 VGA, audio input and output jacks, and a Multimedia Card Adapter (for SD cards, MMC, and so on)
Ethernet Adapter
Wireless B/G/N Adapter
Built in Webcam and Microphone

And it comes with Windows XP Home SP3.

Here are a couple of pictures:

(You might not be able to tell from the pics, but it's Electric Blue)

I am absolutely thrilled with it. :D

Just got this affordable laptop for my stepdaughter. Less than $500 with shipping and tax:

3GB DDR2 memory
15.6" widescreen
250GB SATA hard drive (5400 rpm)
Built-in Realtek wireless LAN (802.11b/g)

Free Windows 7 upgrade.

I splurged a bit on Modcloth.com. So many dresses that I want!

I got this one because it's pretty casual, not my normal style at all, and I actually look good in red.

I bought this skirt because something about it was too sweet for me to pass up.

And as mentioned in the Ladies' Thread, I'm wearing this one to a wedding this weekend where I'll be doing a reading.

I have no idea when I started becoming such a girl and enjoying dresses so much! I used to be all about the t-shirt and jeans!
