Never wore lipstick myself, I dislike the texture and feel, it's too heavy. You can get just as much colour out of a gloss - they last longer too.

I took back the Civil War Hardcover I bought on the weekend because while reading it I realized that I only really wanted the script book and not the entire thing since I already own the trade paperback version of Civil War. The script book is awesome...I will need to order it from chapters or amazon. I also took back G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra because it was horrific...interesting story but brutal dialouge even for a Max Collins book. It was past the return date on it (had no idea I had it already for two weeks) so I couldn't get cash back but did luck out and get a gift card so I ended up getting the following two things:

-G.I. Joe Versus Cobra The Essential Guide (has profiles and histories on all the major characters, weapons, and a ton of great pictures including a sneak peak look at G.I. Origins.

- The Lord of the Rings A Reader's Companion! Annotations of the trilogy including the appendices at the back of Return of the King! I have been wanting this since it was released in 2005. The only problem is that Chapters had it as part of the 50th anniversary box set but since I already own the trilogy I didn't want to get the set and so removed the plastic and got the companion out!! It confused the cashier when he was trying to scan the book because it isn't for sale single...lol

I also got myself six chicken nuggets, a large strawberry shake, and an apple pie for a late lunch which turned out to be my dinner.

Wait...

Are you saying that, after two weeks, you took a book back to the store and returned it--just because you didn't like it?

And the store actually went along with this?

I bought lipstick. I've never actually bought any lipstick before, and I have no clue what shade I'm supposed to wear. My mom and sis used to try to force the stuff on me before and now I'm regretting that I never actually learned how to properly wear makeup. I probably look like a clown with it on!

I go to the MAC counter and make them figure it out for me. :D

ETA: These days, you can hear the shouts of "Oh, Boy!!" from them when I approach.

Wow, the only time I've ever returned a book is when it was gift and the person already had it. I had bought it the day before and a manager had to approve even that.

...a Karlsson KA4583 wall clock. I saw this at a friend's house and absolutely had to have one. $19.99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond

^ I hope it does too.

For me, it was a 30 day supply of cat food and dog food this morning followed by two Sausage with Egg McMuffins for myself.

^A small box..

Hey I liked the movie.. ok, it was terribly childish sometimes, but still oK lol.

Today we have gone groceryshopping.. so loads of it.

I got some moisturizer and some concealer. Best of all, I got some tips on how to apply the concealer correctly. :bolian:

Stealthily, one assumes? ;)

Arthritis medicine for my old (13 year old) black lab. Poor guy could barely get off the floor. :(

Hope this helps him.

Fingers crossed. :techman:

I got a pair of caramel linen/cotton flat front chinos from Loro Piana yesterday and dropped them at the tailor's today for hemming. They're the third pair of similarly cut trousers I've got from LP this year in different colours - the cut is wonderfully slim and neat.

I sorta gave up looking for a new watch a while back and then found this used Pulsar in a display case at a store specializing in 50-70s paraphernalia. The price and the color was right.
