Your latest purchases, cont.

Hubby finally bought us an exercise bike. He is currently in the spare room, swearing up a storm, as he tries to assemble it.

I had finally saved enough, to go purchase the TV-set I've wanted since they started making them a couple of years ago, last week: the Philips 58PFL9955H/12.

It is kinda nice to use my TV-remote to take my TV-set (wireless) on-line to find and play media-files from my PC and/or server - it certainly beats using one of the DVI outputs on my graphics card to hook up to the HDMI on the TV :)

Now all I need is the 5.1 speakers

But apparently not all file-formats and codecs play on Philips hardware, so I had to also buy a small LG media player (LG DP1W) to watch media encoded in certain ways (and to watch '.srt'-subtitles).

Sweet tv, dude!
It most certainly is; perfect thing for watching Star Trek films on
:p

Going from a twenty-some inches analogue glass-tube (16:9) to a 58" LED-lit LCDisplay (21:9) was a bit of an upgrade for me... now I just wonder why I didn't do it a lot earlier

A rare treat, oh so good (and light, so that it only has about 11 sugars in it!)

Mmm-Frappuccino.jpg

Sort of want. My ex and I used to get those Strawberry ones since she loved them, but it took me ages to finish them for the sweetness, but that does look pretty tempting.

That Frappuccino is looking good right about now...

Last thing I bought was a bunch of toothpaste and mouthwash.

Dragon Age: Asunder
Halo: Glasslands
Halo: The Forerunner Saga: Primordium
Mass Effect: Deception

I pre-ordered the last one, so it was automatically downloaded on release day, which I now regret due to a large number of errors in the book.

I recently received

Sherlock Holmes - Complete Collection

a 16-DVD box set that contains all 41 episodes of the 4 series that starred Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.

I probably only saw only about 1/3 of the episodes on TV so I will be looking at a lot of Holmes over the next few days.

Since the bloody cat ate my sim card (no, i'm not kidding) i ordered a T-Mobile sim card with 10 quid credit off ebay. My girlfriend has her hands full, figured I'd save her the trouble of sending me one.

Gas and trekkiedane, congrats on the new tv sets! Both great choices.

I keep saying I want to buy a new one too, but the one we have still works perfectly and is very good quality, so I can't really justify the expense. :shifty:

That makes three of us in this thread ;)

I just got back from shopping - shopping in the bricks and mortar world as compared to most of the shopping I do which is online.

I bought a queen size sheet set, 2 towels, some undies and a bra, 2 cushions and some groceries.

I also bought two books

Species on the Edge of Surival: A Unique Guide to 365 animal, fungi and plant species from the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species

and

Misery's Bear Guide to Love and Heartbreak

I have been following Misery Bear life on YouTube so it was nice to find a book about him
