Your in command of Atlantis

Samurai8472

Admiral
Admiral
Inspired by Temis the Vorta's thread and the revolving door of Atlantis commander's, How would you run the city and expedition?

Draw all personnel back to the City. Assign teams to do a full assessment of the structural integrity and main systems.

Task Rodney with created a new macro to permanently shut down the entire Pegasus Stargate network by making the DHD fuse each active Gates main superconductor elements middial. One that would dial the entire network at once, shunt the full DHD output into the Gate, destroying its circuitry.

Locate all known ZPM's. Forcibly take 6.

Locate and secure at least 3 Aurora class starships.

Dial the network and shut it down.

Jump Atlantis back to its Antarctic platform and land her, installing the outpost to the City so that the weapons platform is now connected.

Acceptable loses of up to 1/4 or 1/3 of all Atlantis personnel regardless of rank or purpose other than those needed to operate each stage. Use of up to 1/3 Drone supply to defend the City if need be. Lose of as many as 6 Puddle Jumpers overall.

My in command of Atlantis?

I'd submerge the city or cloak it and move it about twice a year to a different part of the planet just to keep the bad guys guessing.

I'd also wait until Earth sent enough 304's and do lots of hit and run attacks on the Wraith like they did in "Last Man".

Woolsey seems to be working out surprisingly well. He stays.

I would take note of Ronin's uncanny track record in being always right on the occasions when he opens his mouth, and make him Woolsey's advisor. (That should be fun for both of em.)

I would take note of McKay's less-than-stellar judgment in many situations - not that anyone ever pays attention to the guy. He can stay, but Zelenka's his boss.

Much as I love Shep, I gotta admit, he's made some astoundingly bad calls. I'd re-assign him to being my personal cabana boy.

I would fire Teyla for being boring.

Once I got the personnel matters straightened out, I would at long last figure out what, if anything, Atlantis' mission is. Because they certainly pose a danger to Earth simply by existing. Unless they can justify their existence by producing something of value to Earth that exceeds the security threat they pose, I'd shut the whole operation down.

I'd promote McKay to leader of Atlantis and assign Zelenka to Shepard's team in his place. Let's see what his judgement is like. It's easy to criticise when you sit on your butt all day. Zelenka = Monday Morning Quarterback.

I'd declare war on the Travelers for the outrageous act of war they committed when they fired on Shepard's Jumper. First strike would be a sneak attack where we blow that Ancient ship of theirs away without them having a chance to fire a shot. Larrin would be publicly executed for her crimes.

Get control of the Phoenix, Apollo and Daedalus and use them to launch ambush attacks on the Wraith, whittling the numbers of Hive Ships down to nothing.

Reactivate the Ancient Replicator making machine and make myself two Frans programmed to be my personal pleasure slaves. Both will be programmed to be extremely slutty and they will not be able to resist making out with each other in public for my amusement.

Reestablish peaceful contact with the governments of the more technologically advanced human worlds we've met.

Offer Teal'c a big pay rise and get him to join Lorne's team. Who says the coolest members have to be in Shephard's team ?

Wait, I've got a new plan. Put Larrin in charge of Atlantis and assign Hermiod to be her personal pleasure slave. :rommie: Film the procedings for YouTube.

Re-program Nanites/replicators to convert self to replicator, gate to world opposite of milky way in Pegasus. Re-create Asuran empire in my own image on that planet, send Atlantis gift of 3 fully charged ZPM's. Take star system I am in and use replicator tech to make either Dyson Swarm or Halo-like structures just for the hell of it. Build huge ass fleet of Asuran Warships. Take out the wraith and convert wraith who want to surrender to human bodies. Exchange more ZPMs for copy of complete Asgard Database. Re-create the Asgard race and fix their cloning problem. Fly off to another galaxy / galaxies and colonize remote un-inhabited parts of it. Work on solution to prevent the end of the universe. Jump to other universes and work to save them from their own end. Make the ascended races look like a bunch of uncaring dolts.

Force Rodney to put the replicator maker back online

All of Atlantis will be run by cute FRAN's

Evacuate Atlantis

6 month later SGC learns that the Wraith have been destroyed by FRAN's. they say hello and then whip out wraith

First Sensible thing ive heard since Season 1... why arent they in the process of doing this...

Well, to pick out the largest flaw in that plan, the Wraith would still have free run of the Pegasus galaxy even without the stargates, so the only effect of shutting down the network would be to strand the indigenous human populations, preventing them from escaping wraith attacks, making diplomatic partnerships, or engaging in the interplanetary trade that they no doubt depend on to survive after living with it for at least ten thousand years. So that's pretty much just being a DB for no reason.

If I were in command of Atlantis, I would spell it "you're."

I would also, um, explore the city more (and air it on TV!) and steal ZPMs from everyone I could find.

^^^ Yeah, I would find the successful experiments that the Ancients did and use them to figure out a way to wipe out the Wraith. So far, all of the unsuccessful experiments aren't really helping...

If there had been successful experiments, the MALP would've rammed into the Atlantis shield in "Rising" and we'd have to visit with the Prometheus because the Ancients would've never left.

If I were in charge my primary goal would be to get Atlantis back to Earth. I would temporarily give Atlantis all 3 ZPMs and fly her back to Earth and land it back on the outpost in Antarctica and study it there and abandon the Pegasus galaxy.
