I like the uniforms of the reboot films. They homage the classics while updating the look. I also like the black, red, grey and khaki-brown dress uniforms, as well as the flight suits and field jackets.

Monster Maroons all the way. :techman:

Runners-up:

- Terran Empire (ENT, In A Mirror Darkly)
- 29th-century Starfleet (VOY, Relativity)
- The black "Marine" unis from DS9 (Nor the Battle to the Strong, Siege of AR-558)

My most favorite is the current duty uniforms (Star Trek First Contact to Nemesis & DS9 season 5-7).

My 2nd favorite would be TNG.

It's a tough choice between TOS Uniforms and the Reboot ones. I opted for the Reboot Uniforms because they have a more modern touch without losing that colourful 60s spirit. Even though I think ST:B Uniforms are gorgeous as hell, I still prefer ST09 Uniforms with the Delta Pattern. It feels more "complete" somehow... Maybe it's because of the texture and TOS shoulder lines.

I like the TOS uniforms. They feel like sailor uniforms the most. I also like the Voyager/DS9 uniforms, and to a lesser extent, the First Contact/DS9 uniforms. They're almost identical, but the the Voyager ones maintain the bright color scheme while still looking professional. The gray shouldered ones would make a good dress uniform variant, but I couldn't see working in those with so many layers, along with a long sleeved submarine sweater underneath the jacket.

Same goes for the TOS movie uniforms. Who could work in those? They make a good dress uniform though.Much better than some of silly dress unforms we see in various series. In that episode with young Picard and his comrades, they look really sharp. And it makes sense for young academy graduates going out in public to be wearing their "Class A's" It seems odd for a duty uniform though, especially in the future.

Honorable mentions:
-Enterprise uniforms
-Some of TMP's uniforms, especially those sexy belts.

I like both the bright/bold originals, TOS, and the somber Dominion War black and grey. The ENT uniforms are the most realistic for a military vessel, though.

The later DS9/movie uniforms are my favorites, always think it gave a very uniform look to them.

What I never understood is why people always call them "Pajamas."

They say that to Data when he travels back to San Francisco, and to Sisko and Bashir when they travel back to San Francisco.

I like when the girl says about the EMH "And we have Mr. Leisure suit over here." when he travels back to Los Angeles.

Because they are one piece jumpsuits that fit closely to the body. Much like many child "onesies" pajamas do. To be fair I don't think it's entirely a fair comparison and I actually like the additional line in the black shoulders of the season 1 TNG uniforms. But comparing them to the later season TNG uniforms they do look rather cheap and thus the "pajama" comment.

TNG movies and later DS9-Darker for the grunge and post grunge age, circa 1990s
Discovery-Polished, fancy, expensive looking. One of the best pseudo-military costumes seen in Trek.
Reboots-Beyond had 3 different great variations

The monster maroons are my favourite Trek uniforms, with the STFC suits in second place. I like layered uniforms with tweaks on how they're worn for visual interest - the movie flap that only Kirk and McCoy ever seemed to remember was there, the landing party jacket, the Picard vest, or the unzippable undershirt.

Other standouts for me - the INS dress uniforms, the late TNG especially paired with the Generations comm badge, and the ENT jumpsuits.

The reboot uniforms, with monster maroons second. I wonder what I Kelvinverse-style monster maroon would look like? Could be a nice idea for a service uniform, something in between a dress and a duty uniform. I don't know, just think out loud in the form of text on the internet.

TOS all the way for me. I like the sheen of the seasons 1-2 uniforms, but the cut of the 3rd season.

I detest coverall jumpsuits.

I picture it being of a similar cut to Pike's gray and white uniform at the end of ST09.
Actually, I think some of the IDW Kelvinverse comics have shown a version of the monster maroon.

Maroon Monster forever.

I like that you had the TOS movies as one; I guess no one likes the TMP PJ's.

TNG movie uniforms are the runner up.

Why are Voyager and Ds9 separate? They wore the same thing at the beginning, and then Ds9 switched to the TNG movie uniforms, which already are a separate category.

That's an oversight on my part. I listed the various shows and movies for the poll but when i got to the picture phase, I forgot that early DS9 and VOY should've been together as one choice.

I couldn't edit my poll once it was started. My next poll will be more inclusive.

Or a Mod could combine the DS9 and VOY poll options and keep the votes of those who have already cast them.

They are actually different. DS9 and maybe season 1 or 2 of Voyager wore a jumpsuit, but the rest of the time it was a jacket with pants.
