    She almost got my vote based solely on her in Mirror, Mirror.

    My vote went to Scotty though, great character & acting by Doohan.

    Far too many of Mallory's scenes ended up on the cutting room floor. That scene from Arena where Mallory defeats a Gorn in hand to hand combat on Cestus 3 should have been kept, for example. And to this day almost no one knows that it was Mallory driving the truck that mowed down Edith Keeler in The City on the Edge of Forever. It's sad. :(

    Agreed with the Majority. Scotty really was number four. I never really got the feeling that he was a 'secondary' character. He was as important to the show as Bones was, I think.

    I have just always loved Scotty. I voted for him even though Uhuru was the inspiration for my first career.

    While I have to agree that he was important for the series (and that secondary may be the wrong word to describe his character), I don't think his role is as crucial as McCoy's. At least that's not the perception I got from watching the series.

    To everyone: Seriously, how should I have called the roles of Scotty, Chekov, Sulu & Co.? Secondary wasn't meant as a derogatory term at all. Honestly! I just didn't know how to call them.

    I didn't take secondary to be an insult of any kind and knew exactly who you meant. Personally I would have said "Supporting Cast," but I don't think its a big deal.

    Scott to me falls in between the big 3 and the rest, he definitely gets more screen time and more episodes focus on him but he's not a 'character' dynamic that K/S/M represent

    I can't really choose because I like Scott, Sulu and Uhura equally. I don't dislike Chekov, but I liked him least.

    Another vote for Scotty.
    Although Lt. Arex has always been an interesting secondary character that I always wished we could have learned more about.

    WOW!! This is a tough one. At different times in my life, I have had different favorites.
    Young teen- Spock, who like me was alienated.
    Young adult- Kirk, the guy who got all the chicks.
    Man- Scotty, because of who played him & I felt he was an underrated character.
    Overall- Scotty, though like so many others, I believe he is a main character. Forget the Holy Three... it should be the Fantastic Four!
