Your favorite platonic friendship

I don't recall noticing an actual romantic relationship ever materialized, and then of course, out of nowhere they hooked her up with Chakotay .

Yeah, that Chakotay angle was complete bull.

Did an actual romance ever materialize between them, or did it never go any further than just hanging out and learning about their humanity from each other?

The Doctor professed his love for Seven in "Renaissance Man" when he thought he was going to die, and got caught daydreaming about her in "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy". He first fell in love with her while teaching her to dance in "Someone to Watch Over Me". She never reciprocated those feelings, but he was clearly in love with her.

Ah, touche, I didn't know that. Then yea, you're right, they don't qualify

I voted K/S/M but I do love O'Brien and Bashir.

A few that haven't been mentioned:

Worf/Martok
Dukat/Damar (+ Weyoun although I'm not sure if it would actually count as a friendship).
Bashir/Garak, although I know sometimes it seems that Garak may have some desire which goes beyond friendship.

Kirk and Spock. Two old army buddies who became friends in battle and would remain friends for the rest of their lives. Nothing beats that friendship.

They really did miss out on the Trip/Reed friendship...I think it could've saved ENT.

Definitely Kirk, Spock, and McCoy for me--the whole id, ego, and superego thing is timeless, IMO.

I had hopes for Sisko/Dax and Janeway/Tuvok, but they both kind of fizzled out over the course of their respective shows.

The O'Brien / Bashir relationship was the best by a mile. For not other reason than

"Of course you love your wife!...you just...like me a bit more!"

Kirk/McCoy/Spock. The best moments with them are some of the best moments in all of Trek for me. The campfire scene from ST V is still one of my all-time favorite moments.
