Some sources state that Kirk led a second five-year mission following the events Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and there is also belief that he led a seven-year mission on the Enterprise-A prior to 2293.
If the producers were able to create one or more live-action series based on these adventures, which actors do you think would best fit the role?
I'm fairly bad at matching actors with roles, but I think the cast from Phase II (the fan series) would do pretty well - at least because they look a lot like their original counterparts. My ideal choice would be the real original crew, but this wouldn't be practical because James Doohan and DeForest Kelley are sadly no longer with us, and the ages of the surviving cast would stick out too much. That said, an animated series would also be just fine.
