Had to put the kibosh on my trip to see the new Rangers ballpark.
The reason is that there was a lot of labor unrest surrounding this year's baseball season (because of the players lockout). Nobody knew when the season was going to start - fortunately, it only ended up getting delayed a week, but nonetheless not enough people were booking the tour I was going to take, so I had to put off my trip to see Globe Life Field. Again. This is the third year in a row I've had to do that!
(I can't go on my own, since there is no mass transit in Arlington, TX where the ballpark is. There is a hotel right next door, but probably way too expensive, plus I don't want to just sit around in a
ing hotel room for a week!)
But all is not lost, I will be going to Chicago instead. I leave a week from Friday!
Going to see three Whitesox games (against my Yankees!
), six Cubs games, and just enjoying the hell out of the city of Chicago.
