Young Justice-Tonight!

Both DC and Marvel have been hitting it out of the park with cartoons lately and I hope Young Justice continues and builds upon the potential seen in the hour-long movie this past November.

Any word on a theme song? I don't remember if the movie had one or a title sequence for that matter. For the most part, the shows have had great themes. It's not essential, but it took some of my enjoyment out of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes to hear their theme (which, at least for my money, was horrible). Justice League's theme took some time for me to adjust to, but both Batman and Superman's themes were superb. In fact, DC's had a good run of themes which fit the thematic elements of the show and are memorable. Love the show or hate it, you know the Teen Titans theme (and probably had it stuck in your head at some point, and likely after reading this post, it's stuck there again).

That looked great...still need to see the pilot somehow...and I love Bruce Greenwood's Batman voice! He's as close to Kevin Conroy as we're gonna get! I'd like to see a pick of the Young Justice Batman and Robin two pack figure.

Theres going to be an intro

There will be an opening title sequence for the episodes. There was none (intentionally) on the "movie" version.

Also the premiere will include one or two scenes that weren't in the movie. CN jumped the gun when they aired the pilot early.

Also officially Jan 21st is when we get new episodes

Interesting, the original Teen Titans fought Mr. Twister in their first appearance as a team, before they were even named the Teen Titans.

Now with episode descriptions
January 21st, 2010 at 7:00pm (ET) Young Justice - "Welcome to Happy Harbor"

Young Justice mistakenly think the evil Mister Twister is actually Red Tornado "testing" them.

January 28th, 2010 at 7:00pm (ET) Young Justice - "Drop Zone"

Young Justice's first official mission, and they don't even have a leader yet.

If anyone watches "Conan" Bruce Timm drew a Conan O'Brien superhero.

Tonight Conan showed a clip WB made for the character named “The Flaming C"

The clip was “The Flaming C" super imposed over Superman at the end of the "Young Justice" movie

The Flaming C even spoke lines that were originally said by Bruce Greenwood's Batman.

That was pretty awesome. And I loved how Conan had no freakin clue what was happening in the clip. lol

I just read "Young Justice #0". Pretty good adaption. So Wally and Connor are friends in this to start off? Interesting decision.

Well as one young justice team member said in November

"Today's the day!"

GW: Well, in episode four -- "Drop Zone, "which is their first official mission from Batman, he sends them to a rogue country to investigate the production of a neo steroid called Venom. This puts them in the middle of a minor war between Bane and the Cult of the Cobra. We've got a lot of character stuff coming. We've got a lot of humor, romance, drama, tragedy and lots of action, obviously.

Bane is voiced by Danny Trejo

There's alot of talent for the voices that you'd normally think would be for a direct to video.

Marina Sirtis will voice Queen Bee

Rob Lowe will voice Captain Marvel

Miss Martian is voiced by Danica McKellar, Winnie from "Wonder Years" in the 90's.

Isn't someone on Trekbbs married to her?

7:00 PM is way to early for the Cartoon Network to show Young Justice. Hell, I still haven't had my dinner at that time. Why can't they just move it to a later timeslot?

Any later and Miss Martian won't have to wear underwear.

You can't show a first run (first run advertising revenue is a severe multiple of rerun returns.) kids cartoon after the kids go to sleep, and you can't rerun an adult cartoon at 6am - 9am on saturday mornings for the next thousand years.

I know, but it is still worth watching. DV-R or taped it, to watch a prime-time hour.:vulcan:

I haven't had a chance to see this yet, but I've been a major super-hero kick lately and I'm hoping to check it out.

New episode finally. I thought it was just there, really. Hopefully future episodes will be better. I did think it was funny how long it took for one of them to realize that could have been Reddy in disguise with a clever scarf but it really should have been Robin to have thought of it immediately.
