You know you love Deep Space Nine when . . .

...when you spend too much time trying to guess what tulaberries, and consequently tulaberry wine, might taste like, and how you might make a batch...and then start your own vineyard...

And failing that, you start trying various wines hoping that one day you'll find the one that says "tulaberry".

How did it work?
It was like 15 years ago, I can't remember that well. One of the characters was outside the game making move decisions is all I recall, and there was a playing card mechanic where you had the option of drawing a card and the result could either be good or bad. I have no memory of the details except that one room had a bunch of spikes shooting out of the floor and one draw of an Ace took one party member out of the game.

I was pretty liberal with what magic could do in the game for a cool premise. Like there was a colosseum that could call up different terrain like a holodeck, and one time they got trapped in a painting.

Now I'm getting nostalgic.

That looks fun!

I guess that ace was the ace of spades.
In tat case there should be some sound effects where the Motörhead song "Ace Of Spades" is played every time someone comes up with that card.
