Anatomically simplistic compared to what exactly - Denobulans, other aliens, who?

I though most humanoids shared similar internal and external body parts, arms, legs, eyes, ears, heart(s), lungs, respiratory system, digestive system etc. Nothing simplistic about what we have that no one else has.

Well for one thing, humans don't have puffy head sacs or creepy back spines.

I never got that Denobula was so crowded and family units so varied, yet they don't like being touched? But they are promiscuous about nearly every other facet of their lives?

Just because they aren't featured on screen doesn't mean they aren't THERE. There's a lot going on in the universe we don't hear about because we focus on one ship at a time.
