Siddig doesn't look much like Pascale, but I suppose it's good that he's playing a character whose name I can remember, as opposed to one of the Meereenese.

If that article is right about Siddig's role, then I hate to disappoint, but Doran Martell hasn't died. Yet.

Don't spoil people.

From titles like those, one would think that GoT is killing much more people than they actually are. Do people expect that nobody should ever die in a story about war, murder, treachery, etc.?

Yeah, that's true, we don't actually get as high a mortality rate as people complain about. Just usually in shows with high mortality rate the most popular characters are safe. Even in Lost, characters ended to die according to how annoying they were to the audience and when a popular character died it tended to be a grand sacrifice. In GoT, the characters who seem like they should be protected by virtue of popularity die gruesomely.

But how many major characters actually died last season? Only a few.
