You grew up in the 80's if...

...if you remember thinking "What the hell is that?" when you saw your first compact disc in a store

...Your first car was a 1981 Citation :p

...You remember the old Apple ][ program "Hot Apples":
Apple ][ porn, if you can believe it. Courtesy of the noises that the disk drive makes

...Two words: Beagle Bros

Fun fact...

The 80s didn't end until 1993. Think about it, that's when the music changed and all the good 80s cartoons and TV shows were off the air to be replaced by mostly garbage.

That's only because the 70s didn't end until 1984.

...if you can successfully *imitate* Harry Caray

...if you hear the phrase "World Series" and remember "earthquake"

...you understand why it's a big deal to have lights at Wrigley Field

...you remember watching Cubs games with Jack Brickhouse as the announcer and Harry was that hated Cardinals/White Sox guy.

I was on the road with a jazz band when that happened. We were all glued to our TV sets in our hotel rooms watching it go down. Can't imagine what it must have been like for people in Candlestick Park, most of them didn't even know the true extent of the horror until they left...

I still remember walking into the house, turning on the game, and going "WTF are they thinking, preempting the World Series for Roseanne?"

You grew up in the 80's if...

...you remember Bill Buckner ;)

...or Kirk Gibson

Believe it or not, she's actually much better looking now than she was then.

Great list. Talk about a trip down memory lane. I am really surprised that, with as big as it was at the time, they left off Miami Vice. C'mon, the white jacket with the baby blue shirt. Who didn't know someone doing the Don Johnson thing?

That look can still work today, if done right...

...if you remember truly glorious arcade games like Hyperball, Dragon's Lair, Xevious, Tempest, Zaxxon, Time Pilot...

The 80s?

"Assume Fox viewing positions!"
