You grew up in the 80's if...

I miss the 80s....

They forgot to mention Knight-Rider and the A-Team though.

i may have been a "child of the 80s" but to put if simply "♫I'll never grow up, I'M A TOYS-R-US KID!♫"

I was just reminded yesterday that I was a child of the '80s when I bought a bunch of blank VHS cassettes for my VCR and listened to Tears For Fears' Songs from the Big Chair album (on cassette) on my boombox...

No joke.

...if you can successfully *imitate* Harry Caray

...if you hear the phrase "World Series" and remember "earthquake"

...you understand why it's a big deal to have lights at Wrigley Field

i was in SF up to the day before that quake helping a cousin move, i tried for a week to get some affordable tickets to that game! of course, back then affordable meant less than 100$$$

I was on the road with a jazz band when that happened. We were all glued to our TV sets in our hotel rooms watching it go down. Can't imagine what it must have been like for people in Candlestick Park, most of them didn't even know the true extent of the horror until they left...

no mention of GI Joe. No mention of Transformers. no mention of A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf or Street Hawk. no Automan.

complete FAIL.

and completely missed Fall Guy.

total FAIL.

Frankly, they missed a lot of stuff. There was just so much to the 80s.

I think that's why it's still the most successful of VH1's decade series.

Pop culture wise, it is easily the most significant decade of the 20th century.
