I can sense crt televisions/monitors from about 10 metres away. It's because their EHTs oscillate at around 25kHz, and that produces ultrasound. Most adults cannot do this, as you lose the ability to hear ultrasound in your mid twenties. And only about a quarter of young people can sense ultrasound at these (relatively low) frequencies.
It doesn't come across to me as sound though. I expect the brain deals with ultrasound slightly differently than conventional sounds.
