(Assuming you weren't just being ironic.)
Haha... definitely a nod to Rihanna's video. I wanted to incorporate Rayna's album art into the music video, which was also nebula inspired.
Ohhhh. The far less memorable Sledgehammer.
Amongst the festivities I hope - is today the day ?
Just FYI I talked to @Captain Atkin. The film is done except for the final sound mix, so a slight delay.
It was revealed on the Facebook group it will be released December 31 (New Years Eve) at 8:00pm (Pacific Time).
Facebook is being weird and not even letting me find the Yorktown page, so if anyone wants to join it (it's a private group) it's here (link).
Hi everyone. Had to push the film back a few days, in part due to a kidney stone flareup last week that left me in bed a few days. The film will be posted on Dec 31st at 8 pm (PT).
I hope it comes out successfully!
(The kidney stone!)
Oh and I hope the film comes out successfully too !
EDIT: The clip I linked when I first posted this was deleted.
Isn't Dec 31 Pacific 201 part 2 day as well? We're gonna be spoiled for Trek fanfilms this New Years.
4am New Year'sDay for me but WHAT A WAY TO BRING IN THE YEAR! The lost chapter of the real Hikaru Sulu played by George 'actual' Takei!
Hey, I made the same assumption. We're just victims of our age, I guess.
I know Google tailors searches to your search history, but I bet if the average person searched for "sledgehammer video" Gabriel's would land first.
Sitting here refreshing my page, ignoring the fact, that it clearly said Pacific Time, as I sit here in EST.
I am not a smart man.
In my defense, I have been waiting for this since I read that article in Starlog several centuries ago.
I regret posting this message, but Yorktown is not ready quite yet. The edit looks great, but the sound design still needs work. It's important to me is to get this right and that means a bit more time on the sound design. I am expecting to release it in late January once the sound design is completed. Not the news I wanted to give you all today, but I promise the wait will be worth it.
I waited this long, and I already got to see one fan film today. No complaints. When it's ready, it's ready. Happy New year!
A finished product you can be proud of is always better than hitting an arbitrary release date.
Haven't heard anything from John, but I'm not pressuring him.
