I got to say, Thelin makes me really appreciate the Andorians on ENT all the more. It really seems like they had him in mind when they created them decades later.

KIRK: Nice to know the crew is efficient in this time plane, too. Spock.

 

[Admiral Shran]

SPOCK: I wish to visit the planet Vulcan, thirty years past, the month of Tasmeen. Location, near the city of ShirKahr.

GUARDIAN: The time and place are ready to receive you.

 

[Admiral Shran]

SPOCK: Personal log, stardate 5373.5, subjective time. I have returned to the past in an attempt to restore the future. I am home and I had almost forgotten its beauty.

[Vulcan]

(Spock watches a group of children verbally bullying another)
BOY: Earther! Barbarian! Emotional Earther! You're a Terran, Spock. You could never be a true Vulcan.

 

[Admiral Shran]

YOUNG SPOCK: That is not true. My father....

 

[HarryM]

BOY 2: Your father brought shame to Vulcan. He married a human.

 

[Admiral Shran]

(Young Spock lunges at him, but they dodge him easily)

BOY: You haven't even mastered a simple Vulcan neck pinch yet, Earther.

 

[HarryM]

SAREK: My apologies, visitor. I regret you were witness to that unfortunate display of emotion on the part of my son.

 

[Admiral Shran]

SPOCK: In the family, all is silence. No more will be said of it. Live long and prosper, Sarek of Vulcan.

 

[HarryM]

SAREK: Peace and long life. You are of my family?

 

[Admiral Shran]

SPOCK: My name is Selek, an humble cousin descended of T'Pel and Sasak. I am journeying to the family shrine to honour our gods.

 

[HarryM]

SAREK: You have a long way to go. Will you break your journey with us for a while, Cousin?

 

[Admiral Shran]

SPOCK: I am honoured. Is something wrong, Cousin?

Sarek: No, no. It was only that... it seemed I know you.

SPOCK: And you in yours, Commander Thelin.

I got to say, Thelin makes me really appreciate the Andorians on ENT all the more. It really seems like they had him in mind when they created them decades later.

You should read that Myriad Universes story which features Thelin, The Chimes at Midnight. It's really a good read and it does do Thelin justice, using what we know now about Andorians thanks to ENT to bring the character really to life.
