More overrated than Halo 3???

The best point me made about Bioshock, and one I've been repeating since the game first made an appearance, is that it's basically System Shock 2 underwater.

Good point, but at least Halo 3 has the excuse of being a sequel in an already hugely popular franchise. Just like GTA4, the overrating was inevitable and easy to tune out (for me it was anyway). But Bioshock? Fuck Bioshock. It's System Shock Lite with an OMFGNEXTGEN (ugh) paint job. Everyone and their mothers went on about how 'innovative' and 'groundbreaking' it was when all I could see was a fairly average FPS, the ground beneath it remaining thoroughly unbroken.
