X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

Well, yeah, but as soon as the dialogue starts, it fades to the background. It's not like it's pounding in your ears throughout the entire thing.

Seriously, this movie has potential, and setting it during the Cuban Missile Crisis era is ballsy. I hope they don't jump a shark and screw it up.

Wow, this new trailer has definitely uped my interest in this. It's been looking really good up to this point, but now it looks friggin' awesome. I just wish would of the new comic book movies would look bad, so I can save some money.:p (I'm kidding)

I think a lot of people are still hesitant about "First Class" because of "The Last Stand" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" luckily this movie is ignoring both and seems to be focusing on Singer's previous two films as the basis of continuity so that's good.

the first two were great and then he left to do superman that's when it fell apart.
attack of the show played a 3 minute preview during the feed segment today. it looks fantastic and wants me to read marvel agin. argh. but for a the team line up

It's not ignoring them.
It's just not addressing events that the characters at this point have no knowledge of. Besides, the movie has plenty to cover without vague references just for the sake of the audience.

@timothy the "Wasp" type character is named Angel Salvadore and was created by Grant Morrison.

@Captain Craig you know what I meant. We've been through this discussion several times now with several different posters lol.

The good thing about a prequel is that you can ignore "The Last Stand" without actively trying to ignore it. It simply hasn't happened yet, and as long as they don't blatantly contradict it, it shouldn't even matter.

Whoa, great final seconds in that trailer!

So apparently Xavier started out with a mostly Scottish accent and Magneto with some vague Mid-Atlantic accent, yet forty years later they both had accents right out of the Royal Shakespeare Company? It's some sort of mutant power!

Well, it was the 60s. They were trying all sorts of things.

I try to steer clear of these kind of threads now to avoid spoilers, but I'm a bit concerned that I haven't seen a shred of marketing for this flick. Some people I know don't even know this movie is coming out.

From the trailers, I think this movie looks fucking awesome!
