@KB24...your new gripe is an old gripe for me. I'm really pissed off that there is no novelization for this film. Understanding, but pissed off.
 
Tragically, I think novelizations of films might just be a thing of the past. Why would anyone read a story that we can make them see over and over again online, on dvd, and blu-ray?!! We can make them buy 2 different video editions at $25, so why bother with a $10 paperback? Boo that I suspect that is the mentally these days. %^&*#$%

I wonder how many more of these they are going to show? In some ways I am indeed starting to feel like I've seen a lot of the movie. It's weird to say now, but I remember after having seen Centurion, I realized the trailers and clips before hand where very good. They put a lot of big and critical bits in the trailers, but they were sort of taken out of context and most of it was from the early moments of the movie. Set up and premise was established, but interest was peaked in how things actually unfold- with surprises left intact. Hopefully, there's still all kinds of stuff hidden for First Class.


As to merchandise, is this it so far? A Contest and the bubble gum thing?

Well aside from the general plot synopsis we still don't know anything about the movie or how it all fits together. Even most of what we have seen have been pretty random and vague in my opinion. Awesome yes, but to me not very revealing (except for maybe that one edited spot in the international trailer we discussed a couple weeks back).

As for the novelization. Out of all the comic book films that are coming out this year, I thought First Class's story had the most potential to be adapted into a novel. The story has the potential to be an epic one and I feel translates well to novel format, but yeah I agree with you that novelizaton seem a thing of the past. I suspect that it probably has to do with the recession.
 
I have a question here in one of the new previews we see a kid he does'nt say much in the trailer. but is that sopposed to be a young chariles x and if so will we see a young cain marko?
 
i dont remember much of X3, but I don't think they even eluded to their relationship in that movie either. Although I think Xavier was already vaporized by the time Juggernaut came about. Maybe there will be a little nod where a husky kid bullies a young Charles Xavier and puts him in a headlock and proceeds to noogy him, which will be revealed as the actual genesis of his eventual baldness! :lol:

Yeah, I remember casting rumors that they picked Vinny because he was British were going to explain the link between him & Charles. Yet when the film was done and Charles & Juggy meet outside Jean's home, nothing is ever said.

I guess that's what happens when you're writing the script the same time your filming.
 
More Beast on a foreign character poster. So I guess maybe some places will eventually see big character posters of some of the folks? And another clip that is more of the same 'normal' scene with Beast and Mystique

Marko and Xavier's relationship was ignored in "The Last Stand" and I believe that Vinnie Jones was a Matthew Vaughn casting decision but I'm probably wrong about that. Charles seems to be a single child in the movie continuity which is fine by me.
