X-Men: Apocalypse announced for May 2016

Scott Mendelson (at Forbes) argues that Fox should do a limited theatrical release of the DOFP Rogue Cut. How many people would pay for another dip?
 
I read earlier today that it's going to be about 17 minutes longer. I don't think that's long enough to get me back theater, especially when there are so many things I haven't seen any version of coming to theaters.
 
I'm certainly interested in seeing the extra scenes, but I really don't want to spend money on them.
 
I would certainly watch the Rogue Cut in theaters, but I doubt that'll happen here.

Either way, I hope it's at least available on DVD.
 
Looks fun, although if we get too many characters, we could end up with dodgy cameos that don't do the characters any degree of justice. They went insane with cameos in X3 and Wolverine Origins and I don't think it improved either movie. Fingers crossed that this version of Betsy will do her more justice and might actually be British and/or a telepath...
 
It's nice to see them bringing in so many fan favorite characters, but I just hope they don't do to many more.

So although we know them from X1-3, there's still Scott, Jean and Storm to introduce in this movie. And Nightcrawler. And Angel. And Jubilee. And Apocalypse. And now Psylocke. And the return of and whatever's going on with Charles, Beast, Moria, Magneto, Mystique, and Quicksilver.


... yeah, I think some of these are gonna get about as much character development as Bishop, Sunspot and Blink did in DOFP to be fair
 
I do kind of like the idea of introducing minor mutants into the story that can be developed later. Iceman and Kitty Pride come to mind as characters that had very tiny roles in the early movies but eventually became more important.
 
I saw Bryan Singer reveal earlier on Instagram that Lucas Till is returning as Havok btw.


So we'll see what they do with him and Cyclops...
