In answer to your question, well, get ready for a rollercoaster.
It sounds like you saw the movies first then, right? You would be the first person I've heard that got into this franchise throught the backdoor. Be nice to hear if they want to attempt that 2012 movie. It would have to start filming like...last week.

I figured they have been doing these little teases here and there... Yes the episodes are getting better and better!!
I think they shared a few close moments and a kiss, but hooking up? No

They had some close moments like you said, but they kissed a few times... Millenium, Existence, The Truth (and that one was a good kiss 
), and IWTB (which was a french kiss -- which I didn't see coming, considering the history

Also... All Things. A sex scene was hinted at there in that one. And Mulder did try and get some in the last film... poor guy. Still couldn't... darn Chris and his issues .
On a side note, don't ever need to see a sex scene either, since frankly... hinting at one is more than enough and says what it needs to say.
